This cottage exceeded all our expectations! The photos truly don’t do it justice—it’s even more beautiful in person. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from the town center and the yacht club. The home is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to an incredible selection of toys and games for kids, making it perfect for families. It’s spacious, cozy, and ideal for hosting larger groups. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. Thank you for such a fantastic experience!
Accommodation was absolutely excellent, perfectly clean and the small gifts upon arrival were very much appreciated. Absolutely no complaints, a good job very well done.
House was amazing and a wonderful place to stay. Good location for local beach and only 10 mins from Lymington.
This beautiful well appointed property is a gem of a find. So close to the High Street and all the amenities, but quiet and secluded. The furnishings are really high quality and all the little touches around hand wash etc make it feel luxurious. The walled Garden is a real sun trap. The beds are comfy and the shower and bath are great.
Moonwood provided the perfect location for our family gathering. Spacious with carefully thought out accommodation to serve all our needs with ages ranging from 18months to 70years. We enjoyed the garden, outside seating and the spa/hydro pool which was easy to access & provided immense pleasure. The well equipped kitchen provided the hub of our socialising & leant itself perfectly for an outside chef to cater for one of our meals. The pizza oven proved popular too. Great location with plenty to see and do within striking distance although with such sunny weather and a comfortable home we we...more
Very comfortable accommodation. Well equipped. Lovely welcome package that was much appreciated. As we are not used to electric ovens which include grill and microwave some instructions would have been appreciated. Otherwise the only downside for us was the state of the access road to the property which was deeply rutted muddy and waterlogged. On one particularly wet day we struggled to get the car onto the property.
The shepherds hut was perfect and included everything you could need and more. We visited on a cold and wet weekend and it was so warm and cosy in the hut and bathroom. It is in a great location close to local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend visiting and we will definitely come again.
Oak Lodge is a delightful bungalow set in the heart of the New Forest . Extremely well appointed, spotlessly clean , spacious and comfortable! Burley is a 10 min walk away , which also has everything you need , including a very nice golf course . A day out exploring , then back for a relax in the hot tub, listening to the birds singing away ! A most perfect holiday in an equally perfect property
We loved the space provided inside and outside the house! The children had a lot of fun in the gardens front and back. Happy children equals happy everyone else!
House was extremely comfortable and relaxing - we were a party of five family members and all impressed and had a great time. Generally very well equipped- just a couple of things - we had to buy more toilet rolls and 7 dishwasher tablets for the week wasn’t remotely enough. Not complaining, but didn’t go with the generosity of everything else supplied
We were thoroughly delighted with this cottage. It was beautifully appointed and well equipped. It was convenient for all local amenities. All within walking distance. Would go back.
Surrey lodge was beautiful and is in amazing location. It had everything we need for a family of multiple generations. We would certainly go back again.
I had a lovely stay at The Nook, which is ideal for a single person, or couple for an R&R break in Burley. It is in a great location, is dog friendly and so cosy. It is a real home from home and the owners have thought of everything. I was travelling solo with a dog and loved the place itself, apart from a few niggles I could not fault the place and enjoyed exploring Burley and the area. So thank you to Rob for a lovely stay. The only downside for me was that I had no phone signal there to make calls and aside from receiving one text from New Forest Escapes just saying hope you are enjoyi...more
Excellent house will all mod cons - something like 8 SONOs Ones. No expense has been sparred. Can't knock the house at all.
High Tide is a stunning seafront house and is beautifully furnished with high quality, stylish equipment and accessories. Beautiful 'themed' cushions and pictures add a delightful finishing touch The upstairs lounge was perfect for our group of six, with an enormous comfortable sofa. There are also other 'cosy corners' to sit, including in the downstairs snug and at one end of the kitchen. We enjoyed a coffee on the large balcony on a sunny Sunday morning. The pool/air hockey table was fun and the sound system was great. You could just sit for hours looking out to sea. The bar was also a fun...more
The photos don't do the house justice. Beautifully decorated. Great space for groups, especially those with kids. And fantastically kitted out kitchen. We also loved the fact you can drive to the beach within 10 minutes. We'll be back
Thank you to Hayley for an amazing stay at Saltwood. We spent a very comfortable couple of nights and really enjoyed going to the beach and eating at the Lighthouse. Hayley was very helpful and friendly. A great host. The house is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Thank you
The Little Gate House is cosy, quirky and comfortable and a 10 minute walk to the village of Milford on Sea. Appreciated the little touches such as dressing gowns, beach towels and some welcome goodies. It’s small but perfect for a couple and the ‘bed box’ was cosy and comfortable. Great decor too! Two small things that didn’t detract from our stay but would make it even better is if they added some frosting to shuttered windows that separate from the owners garden just to give a bit more privacy and also if they could do a spring clean to get rid of cobwebs and dust by the skylights, by a...more
Lovely spacious house with a great garden. Perfect for a family with children. Very well located for Lymington
What an amazing 5 days we had staying in this wonderful property. The property was excellently furnished and looking towards the sea was a mindful experience. The location was perfect and close to all amenities. We definitely would think of returning again sometime in the future. Thank you so much.
We’ve just returned from four nights at number 16 and I can’t recommend it enough. The property is in a great location and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen / lounge diner is huge and opens onto the lovely rear garden. There’s a beautiful downstairs utility room / bathroom and a separate lounge. Upstairs is just as impressive with three good sized rooms, one of which has an en suite, and a family bathroom. The quality of the fixtures / fittings is fantastic and there really is everything you need for a perfect stay. Will return as soon as we can.
Great property, great location. Always a fantastic stay a Captain’s Keep and the New Forest Escape staff are all excellent. Definitely recommend!
There were 10 of us - 7 adults and 3 children. The house was fantastic! Very clean, comfortable and extremely well kitted out. The kids loved the huge garden and the animals, especially the beautiful peacock! The views were stunning from the upper level. Very convenient for all the exciting things to do in the New Forest. Beach, cycling, walking etc. All in all it was wonderful!
Little thought given to basic functioning. Two pots and two drying clothes for eight people! No spare bedding or towels. Overpowering freshners everywhere. No instructions for anything so wasted time and couldn’t make fire work. NO CAR CHARGER just outside socket on different level needing 15 metre extension. Parking difficult. No response to my email from Forest Escapes afterwards. Great location just a sense of meanness with facilities.
Highly recommend staying in this gorgeous home in the heart of the forest! The decor is stunning and such comfy beds with excellent bed linen! It really suited our family of 6 adults and a 2 year old! We had the shops, pubs and station within a few minutes walk yet had donkeys and horses regularly at the front gate! This home was a lucky find and a real gem! You won’t be disappointed! If you want quality, this is it!
I booked the cottage to stay with my daughter in law who was singing in an opera in Southampton & her children, aged 2 & 4. I made a mistake in my first booking because she needed to take the train to Southampton & the booking I had made was four miles from the station. New Forest Escapes were very helpful & offered Popsy Cottage in Sway, five minutes walk form the station. The cottage was great for children, stair gate, cot, high chair, toys. The equipment & appliances are all good quality & toys were provided, so the children were safe & happy. Sway is a big village with good facilities, sho...more
Really enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. Great location close to the High Street so easy access to central Lymington. Definitely will return.
This is a premium property, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a games room and a hot tub. Kitchen well equipped and there was a welcome pack (although not a lot of room for your own stuff!). We enjoyed our stay here. The location is on the edge of the village of Bransgore, meaning a long walk (15-20 mins) or short bike ride to the shops and pubs (Three Tuns recommended). It is easy reach by car to the rest of the New Forest and also Bournemouth (we had great weather so went to the beach too). The bike rental place in Burley also delivers bikes here, and it not too far to get onto of...more
We booked Little Nye alongside the main house Nye Creek. It was perfect extra space with easy access to the garden / hot tub / dining. Worth knowing that it is very close to the main house if you are booking separately. The bathroom for the main house is directly above Little Nye’s bedroom. Running showers and flushing toilets are quite loud. The bed in Little Nye is quite low and the bed is very firm. Very comfortable pillows and bedding. As a self-contained space, Little Nye has everything you need. Perfect location for the forest and the coast.
Lovely cottage in brilliant location. We literally parked the car up when we arrived and walked both sides of coastal path during our stay as well as to Milford on Sea village. We will be going back !
We really enjoyed our stay at Gins Barn, its a lovely house, with great art and furniture in a fantastic location, really well equipped. The owners were very friendly and accomodating.
The main house is very comfortable with a beautiful, large lounge with a log fire where we spent our evenings relaxing and chatting. During the day we enjoyed sitting out in the sun on the garden furniture and using the hot tub ( the pool wasn’t available to use at this time of year) and the privacy of the large garden. There were a few things we weren’t happy with about the quality of the annexe, but the property manager was so helpful and came over to sort this out for us. The location is stunning and we had a walk over to Burley across the gorse and horse filled fields for a delicious pub l...more
Well equipped house, so useful to be given dog towels and beach towels, kitchen had everything. Location was peaceful but easy to get around, nice walks on the doorstep. Garden enclosed and great for children and dogs. As a keen reader of everything the book selection was the best I’ve ever seen
A fantastic festive stay in a superb location ideal for the family and dogs . The roast beef done on the Aga was magnificent and we were worried about how to cook with it . Mary Bertys Aga cook book downloaded for £2.59 supplied all the answers. . The walks the pub nearby and every thing was perfection The only slight problem was the key lock but new forest escapes sorted that out immediately I don’t think we had the knack Thank you all so very much will return
Incredible garden with gorgeous views, easy to spend hours sat taking them in. A really well set out house in a location that provides access to plenty of walks and bike trails. Highly recommend.
We were two parts of an extended family, with four adults and five children. Two Sides Cottage was absolutely perfect. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable, but in a homely way and not so pristine that we worried every time the children dropped something on the floor. We loved the quaint layout, the garden was large and ideal for a lazy afternoon barbecuing and playing badminton, and we found plenty to do in the local area. New Forest Escapes were absolutely great to deal with and we really appreciated the personal service, with phone calls to check everything was OK (and to warn ...more
This was our first time visiting the New Forest and we couldn’t of picked a more perfect cottage. It was comfortable, homely, well equipped and the garden was lovely to sit out in. It was a great base to visit a lot of the local villages, to do some walking and the ferry to Isle of Wight was just 10minutes down the road. Would most definitely recommend.
The cottage is really lovely and for our needs it worked very well. Grandparents in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom and parents with two small children upstairs with a kitchen a lovely sitting room to gather in. Cottages can be cold, but the heating worked really well and it warmed up in no time. The garden is a real suntrap and it is so nice to be able to sit outside around the table in the sunshine. We even managed to have a family gathering with lunch for 11 all of us, with the children as well as adults having a good run around in the garden! The owner Fiona, who lives in the anne...more
We only stayed for a couple of nights, but upon arrival, the lovely little cottage was clean and comfy looking. There was tea, coffee, sugar and even a bottle of milk in the fridge! The location is stunning. Quite out of the way, but there is Fordingbridge not too far away for any amenities (definitely best by car/bike). The view from the back porch is gorgeous and we were lucky enough to see deer. The hosts were friendly and communication was excellent when we had a slight issue with the shower. There is a nice pub about 7mins walk from the cottage, called The Foresters Arms. Would defi...more
We loved this cottage as everything was provided and it was very comfortable. Great walks in the New Forest are very near and so our dog was very happy. We loved our trip on the ferry at Mudeford to a very dog friendly area
We stay in Lymington every year. Our favourite 'home' so far. High ceilings, spacious, lovely decor and a HUGE tv, happy golf and football watchers. Easy and pleasant walk into Lymington, Will def go back.
We stated here for 4 nights in April with our daughters & boyfriends. House was amazing, loved having a gym to train in. Hot tub & pool we used only once as weather wasn’t great. Very quiet area. Easy to get to the New Forrest for beautiful dog walks, the beaches or Lymington
This is a lovely house and extremely well equipped. It's in a perfect location in Lymington. There are plenty of great restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. Easy access to the New forest and other coastal towns. Unfortunately, we had a mini heatwave during our stay and could not use the master bedroom which is in the roof space.
A lovely cottage in a great location. Well equipped kitchen with lots of storage. Easy walking distance to the town and down to the marinas. Parking dials provided were really convenient and easy to use. The beds and sofas were a little older and had lost some support but perfectly fine. Garden had good seating areas and a new garden room.
Brilliant home away from home, the kitchen was very well equipped, we loved the layout of the space and living room with wood burning stove for the evenings. Our kids loved the garden and cycling up and down the drive. The beach and Brockenhurst are both very close so the location was great. The bedding / pillows could be improved especially in the master bedroom, but apart from that it was a perfect stay. Thank you
Absolutely fantastic property, really clean and beautifully kept. The hot tub was amazing and despite some suggestions from the literature not overlooked in any way at all. Big space for parking and two lounge areas to spend time in as well as a large outdoor decking. Great beds and fantastic children’s room. We will definitely return thanks again.
I booked Harbour View as a venue to celebrate my son’s 30th Birthday. What an amazing house!! It made the celebration feel very special. The house is extremely well appointed and has been tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything you need is provided. We had an issue with the boiler, no hot water on demand. We messaged the property manager who responded very quickly.
Very nice place to stay. Beautiful house with everything you need and all furniture and fittings of a very high quality. The house is a good as it looks in the photos. We had a very enjoyable stay with no problems at all.
A lovely cottage in the heart of the forest and ideally situated for dog walking and relaxation in the garden as it’s very quiet. Really lovely having the horses right outside our door. This cottage however needs some attention although upstairs was clean and functional, downstairs was unclean on our arrival which was disappointing. The bathroom floor was dirty and ceiling had mould on it. The kitchen hob was dirty as was the fan oven in the Aga. The microwave was full of rust and very unhygienic and possibly dangerous to use. Cobwebs hanging from light fittings in the lounge too. These factor...more
Just the three of us, perfectly comfortable and everything you need to have a break. Love the quiet seclusion and yet just down the road are pubs and restaurants. We will be back.
A beautiful mews style flat, right in the heart of the new Forrest, with open woodland immediately outside your front gate. No need to drive anywhere. The mews has a great feeling about it with a modern / rustic charm. Lots of details you may otherwise not get in a holiday cottage - the Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods, wine in the fridge and even biscuits. Not to mention tea bags. These small touches made us feel very spoiled and cared for. The garden is enclosed so we could relax knowing our dog couldn’t escape. The only small gripe was we did find it cold early mornings and eveni...more
The house and garden was beautiful and perfect for a family break with three generations. Recommend
Our stay at Wood Haven was a last minute booking but we were very happy with our choice. The house is set in a very quiet, private close yet the location is perfect for getting into the New Forest by car and bike, or walking across the fields into Lyndhurst to the cafés and restaurants. The house itself is very well appointed with heaps of living space and a fabulous kitchen, which we loved. The bedroom/bathroom layout is slightly unusual but suited our family of four fine. If travelling as two families, one of the other bedrooms would work better as an additional twin room, rather than th...more
