We had an absolutely amazing stay at Sheepfold Barn over Christmas. It is such a nice property with a lovely interior. It had everything we needed and communication from Keswick Cottages was clear. The barn is just a 10-15 minute drive from Keswick with lots of great walks even closer. There's a lane running up to and past the house for a morning dog walk.
Our group had a great experience staying at 45 Eskin Street. The house is spacious yet feels cosy and homely. The bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. The house is in a fantastic location. We really enjoyed our stay here and would thoroughly recommend!!
We have been coming to Portinscale for a number of years. Fell View had everything we needed, it was cosy with the log burner going after a soggy walk. The little touches such as dog treats made it feel that our dog was welcome. We will be returning. Thanks for a wonderful few days
Fantastic character features - location cannot be better great views and outside noise settled around 10pm so ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Beautiful property set in the perfect, central location with some lovely views of Latrigg and Skiddaw. Extremely comfortable and well furnished with high quality furniture throughout. We all loved and would stay again!
Great location with off street parking Very comfortable and warm property. Love the kitchen and lounge. The table tennis in the garage is excellent. Lovely compact garden. This was our fourth stay in this superb property. Will be back.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days at the tops helped by fantastic weather. The tops is a beautifully revamped apartment in a superb location. Handy for centre of town but in a quiet spot. We had everything we needed and more. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds plus car parking was a bonus. Thankyou Rosalind and Grahame Smith
Blencathra is warm clean and comfortable. It’s within perfect walking distance from Keswick, and yet very quiet with great views. We definitely plan to stay again next year.
We loved the luxury of a tempur mattress and reclining armchairs. We have never been so comfortable in a holiday property, Also loved the location so near to Booths but with no through traffic. We are hoping very much that new owners don’t change the style of bed and chairs as we will definitely return if the comfort level remains the same,
We had a wonderful stay at Mountain View. It was our first stay in Keswick and I would definitely use Keswick Cottages again as they provide excellent customer service. The property itself was perfect for our needs. It was sparkling clean and obviously well maintained. Fabulous views a bonus. It had a central position so perfect for town centre shopping and restaurants. Easy access to the fantastic walks nearby.
Spent three nights at Grisedale Pike. Very comfortable, well equipped apartment. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious and light filled bedroom. Central Keswick so close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants.
The only issue was with the cooking facilities. The oven is not suitable for cooking for a large crowd.
Stayed here with my family last week and loved the accommodation which is a two minute walk to the Town centre and a five minute walk to Derwentwater. Really clean and well equipped and a bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch.Parking is great with two spaces and communication from Keswick Cottages is professional and friendly especially Jessica. The only slight downside is the poor water pressure so we couldn't use any taps or the toilet while we having a shower as it affected the temperature drastically from freezing cold to extremely hot.Beds are on the hard side but there are mattress topp...more
Cherry Garth is a lovely property they have an accessible room but need a ramp to get in through the door
Garden was really useful. Super location had a really great stay - the girls loved going to the park and lake - will book again
Couldn't be better, we had apartment 1 and the Bridge house for a large group no issues, plenty of hot water to!
The bungalow was perfect for our needs, great location and the views were amazing. The beds were comfortable, especially after walking. Plenty of bathrooms and hot water, all newly updated. The kitchen was much bigger than the photos, Plenty of room around a large dining table to eat and plan our next walk. The view from the sitting room was amazing, the front bedrooms also had great veiws. The garden was very well maintained with plenty of seating at different points to maximise the views and sunshine. The accommodation was large enough to give everyone space to enjoy some quite t...more
We always have a very relaxing time at Lydia’s cottage. This s our second visit this year. Hopefully it won’t be too long until we are back again.
The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful location and it is a comfortable and beautiful apartment/flat. The letting agents answer their phones quickly and are very pleasant and helpful to speak with to resolve any questions. We deliberately chose a small, local company through which to find a property and were not disappointed.
We had an amazing stay in Greta House. It is newly refurbished to an extremely high and contemporary standard. The owners have gone way above the finish you would expect to find in holiday rental. The linen, duvets, towels crockery and glassware are really high quality. The house is small but there are two lovely bathrooms and decent sized bedrooms. The downstairs open plan living space is fantastic and includes two large comfy sofas, log burner, bar, pantry cupboard, coffee tables, smart TV, and bi-fold doors out to the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need ...more
Cottage quiet given location on street and it was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bonus in Keswick too. Just 3 minute walk to main square, so very handy for seeking eateries in the evening. Service from Keswick Cottages excellent too. Highly recommend cottage and KC for holiday.
We have stayed here 2 or 3 times a year for almost 10 years Great Location Very comfortable Extremely Clean and Tidy Good Price Spacious Plus Parking Outside Back again soon
Great accommodation in a lovely location with great views and a car parking space. Easy access to all local amenities.
The apartment upstairs was extremely noisy with a child constantly running around from early morning until around 9pm. The weather wasn’t great and understand everyone had to be in because of the stormy conditions but this was constant running from one end to another. Apartment 1 was lovely and the added bonus of parking was great but has put us off booking ground floor again.
Lake view cottage is a loving place to stay , very clean well maintained very comfortable , great location not far from Keswick or Cockermouth, We had a issue with the boiler not working rang Keswick cottage emergency number waited for someone to ring us back but 4 hour later no one did , with not having hot water or heating we thought someone would ring us back that night or the next day but no one did ,
Situated right next to Fitz park ( with access via a bridge) and a 5/10 min stroll to Keswick town centre makes the location ideal nearby car parking is provided. The small front and rear gardens allowed us to make the most of the sunshine whilst there and the accommodation was spot on. A well equipped kitchen and dining area. A good sized lounge downstairs and 2 good sized bedrooms upstairs and spacious bathroom. In the lounge was a cupboard with games, dvds,CDs and books. The whole property is freshly decorated, modern and very comfortable.
We have stayed in a large number of self catering properties in Keswick over the past 20+ years and Coledale is up there with the very best of them. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and, is filled with natural light (which was even more welcome as the weather was amazing for our week's stay in April 2025). Also, to our delight, we had a lovely view of Catbells from the lounge window. Keswick Cottages were very helpful and we were particularly impressed with the App you have developed for Coledale providing all key and helpful information. We would have no hesitation in returning ...more
Well the weather was great so that always helps. The property is in the centre of Keswick so great for access to all the amenities of Keswick. The space was alright and the 2 bedrooms were of good size. The only issue with the bedrooms was the double bed in the main bedroom. It sank and wallowed all over so got very little sleep the first night. As there was just the 2 of us staying in the property we swapped to the other 2 single beds which were better although the soft sided bed bases do not make for comfortable sleeping. Parking is another issue. There is a good sized garage for the car b...more
What could be better than spending Christmas in The Lakes" !!! The property supplied everything we needed for the festive season. The fridge freezer provided fridge space in addition to the under the counter fridge, which was perfect for storing all the extra beer, wine and food that is associated with Christmas Well done once again Keswick Cottages
We recently had a wonderful stay in Bridge House Apartment 2. The location was excellent - very central.Only a couple of minutes to get into Keswick. It was really helpful to have 2 free car parking spaces provided. The apartment was lovely and clean. Very spacious. Great views on either side. Also so much you can do from your doorstep walks wise. We loved it and hope to return again in the future.
Such a lovely house, really clean, and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. Customer services was exceptional, thank you so much
We enjoyed our stay. We were 4 adults and a 3 year old so there was plenty of room. The views were lovely, especially from the terrace, weather permitting. It was warm at all times and our wet weather clothing dried quickly in the utility room. The kitchen was well set out in a large social space. Although the cottage is close to a sewage works, there were no adverse smells and we appreciated the isolation and wonderful birdsongs. Overall, it was a good location for us.
What's not to like about Causey view. Well presented, clean property. Everything we could need was in the property. Comfy double bed, didn't use the other room. Specious cottage for us two. Stunning views and we love Braithwaite village. Home from home..we didn't want to leave!
A stone throw away from Keswick, the cottage’s couldn’t have been better positioned, there are hundreds of miles of walks from the cottage without having to get on the car, it was just perfect for us, our dogs aren’t big car fans. The cottage itself was cosy and tidy just like a cottage should be, everything worked seamlessly. Thank you so much for having us, we absolutely adored it
Little gem situated close to facilities in Keswick. Very clean and comfortable with lovely bathroom having the benefit of separate shower as well as bath. Chair and sofa were a bit low for us but that's an age thing. Wouldn't hesitate to book it again.
Bridge cottage is in a perfect location for those wanting a central location. I have used it 4 times previously.
Great cottage in a lovely village. It has everything you need with a garden overlooking the village and nearby fells which was great to sit in at the end of the day. The bed was so comfortable.
Great week in Keswick, lovely apartment, I would definitely stay here again! Location is perfect for Booths, eating in the town centre and accessing the lake. The apartment was well equipped, comfy beds and very clean throughout. We have stayed on this complex before and the apartment layout was by far the best. The large hallway made it feel spacious, and the patio area was great for fresh air and drying wetsuits.
A lovely quirky cottage in a fantastic location with the bonus of a car parking space. The cottage provided everything we required + needed. We had our Westie with us + he loved outside space but please note it is shared with the neighbour which we didn’t realise. We will definitely return.
Located in central Keswick giving easy access to all amenities. A lovely home from home holiday let. Very well equipped and nicely decorated. The bunk beds were a bit wobbly and may need some attention.
Lovely, clean and well appointed holiday home. Ideal base for us. Great location, easy access to town.
We have stayed at Tawny Cottage previously and it met all expectations. On this occasion the refurb to the Kitchen only made things better. The cottage has all you need in terms of cooking, heating and even washing walking gear. The location is ideal for exploring the area on foot, car parking for two cars is a bonus .Do try the Farmers Arms if you get chance ,overall an excellent stay over the New Year.
We needed dog friendly accommodation and were not disappointed in either location, or facilities. With room for two cars on the compact drive in front of the cottage and a fully enclosed back garden this was a perfect location. Peaceful and quiet most of the time but only minutes away by car from Keswick and views of the Barrow, one of the Wainwrights from the back of the house, this setting provided the best of both worlds. Well equipped and a welcome pack for our dogs too; a lovely touch. Perfect for either a strenuous climb up to the Barrow, or a gentle ramble by the river running through...more
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Amazing holiday house, spotless, comfortable and a brilliant location. No parking issues.7 friends on a hiking running long weekend and so much room for all.
Brilliant and responsive customer service to my questions when arriving Lovely cottage with lovely views.
Perfect accommodation! Very clean, comfortable and well equipped with lovely views of Skiddaw. Great location with the bonus of a parking space.
We loved our stay at Swallows Lodge. The view over Derwent Water is breathtaking. The lodge is very well equipped, very warm and cosy with plenty of space. The tumbler drier definitely a bonus! We hope to be back. (Some outdoor furniture would be a great addition).
A lovely cosy cottage (with wood burner). Good WiFi. Great location for local walks. Nice pub round the corner. Great for the odd supplies with the shop over the road. Great for pets. Road parking was fine. Everything was great in fact, except the pillows were too thick for me (I had to find a cushion and put the pillow case on that), the fridge was a bit small and the kitchen a bit small too (only space for 1 cook at a time)!
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was comfortable and clean, with lovely views from the lounge window. Good to have lots of books and games provided. And we made use of the front patio on a few occasions. The parking space is a bonus. We thought it was in an excellent location in the town, a quiet no through round but the benefit of being staggering distance to all the pubs, restaurants and shops. We would definitely book again!
Stayed several times now and will be staying again soon. Comfortable and cosy with everything you need.
I had a wonderful stay at Shelley Cottage. It was a fantastic location - easy walk into the town and great opportunities for amazing walks! All the information given to me prior was perfect and there was lots of helpful information given. The upstairs of the cottage was lovely and cosy and the garden was beautiful to watch the sunset. The only one downfall was the smell downstairs - strong odour of damp.
Accommodation newly decorated. Everything you could need and pristine condition. Parking easy access at front of property for the lager vehicle. Few minutes walk into town centre for shops, cafe, pubs etc. Highly recommend.
A lovely property, well situated near to lots of ameneties. Thank you for the welcome pack. Almost everything you need (take dishwasher tablets). On the ground floor and parking right outside the door so suitable for those with mobility issues. I think we were the first in for the season, so although the radiators were on it took quite some time for the property to warm up especially in the bedrooms which because they were out of the sun were very cold. We enjoyed our stay and would definately come again The property is spotless, well maintained, and comfortable.
Very well located for the town, walks and the lake. comfortable and warm Would definitely recommend.
Simply perfect! Attractive and safe location.Squeaky clean!very carefully thought through to provide all that was needed but not cluttereing …….we bring our own clutter!! We loved it!!
Keswick cottages were very helpful. Booking was straight forward. Location is excellent for walks from the doorstep. We shall be booking again to stay at Barf cottage.
Having stayed seven times, obviously we love this property for its location, the view, the garden (very dog friendly) and its overall convenience. A few minor points: - care needed when driving out due to limited visibility onto narrow road - not a fan of the information server. Useless unless you have a smart device. A simple A4 file is much better for essential information - TV offering is poor compared to other properties - need information on what to do with recycled materials. Are we expected to take them home?
Great location, well equipped apartment nice garden. Digital guide is missing applicaiance instructions.
Cottage was clean and comfortable with everything required for a few nights away. Just a 10 minute stroll to the town centre.
3 nights booked in Isabel cottage. The booking process was easy to follow and communication up to the stay was clear and plentiful. Excellent location in centre of the town. Cottage is clean, comfortable and warm with all facilities for self catering. We didn't use the cooking appliances but the instructions didn't look easy to follow as previous reviews however, there are plenty of choices on the doorstep for eating out. Vehicle access to the cottage is narrow so would advise only small/medium cars attempt it. We parked at the nearby long stay car park for the duration at £20 which is good va...more
We had a short but very enjoyable stay in this excellent accommodation. Keswick was amazing and we also explored Ambleside and took the boat down Windermere to Bowness. On the two brief occasions I spoke to staff they were professional, proficient and very personable and, need I say it, helpful. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Comfortable and clean cottage, especially comfortable beds. Our only problem was the parking. Access to the parking space is very narrow and arriving in the dark we pranged our brand new car! Coming in and out it took two people to guide the car out safely.
House is well situated, very near the park and a short walk to town. Access & parking is tight for cars but manageable. Lots of great walks nearby. Good shower, house was clean & good welcome pack.
Great service from yourselves House was spotless Great amenities Comfortable Could definitely do with changing large sofa in the lounge , worn and has seen better days It’s passed its best Loved our stay and have booked again for next new year Location is great and house has so much space Water pressure not great and Wi-Fi poor
Stayed in a Crandy Nook for 5 nights for some winter walking. Great location, near all the shops, pubs etc. It is well appointed, with decent furniture. Kitchen has everything you need, and lots of china so everything can go into the dishwasher. Lovely view from the dining table makes you want to get your walking gear on, and get out there. Service from Keswick Cottages was efficient and helpful
This flat, whilst obviously well used, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay in Keswick. The little welcome kitchen and tea packs were a nice touch. The location couldn't have been better. We could walk to everywhere from the flat which also had a handy off road parking spot. The information from Keswick Cottages was spot on and there was a handy tablet packed with information for our stay. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
We had a great week in Roslin. As regular visitors to the lakes we’ve stayed in many cottages and we would definitely return to Roslin. Good sized living space, and well-stocked kitchen (although could do with an extra baking tray or 2!). Bedrooms were a good size and comfy beds. Lovely views from the windows to the fells. Easy to park and walk into Keswick.
We have just stayed for 3 nights in 3 The Townhouses. This was a lovely 4 bed property in a fabulous location, within easy walking distance of Keswick centre. The house was very clean and offered all the facilities that you required. Would stay again and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
We had a fantastic stay in Stickle Tarn. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay in Keswick. Being positioned on the corner of the building, the apartment afforded fabulous views of the mountains on two sides. We were also blessed with unexpectedly amazing weather - wall-to-wall blue skies and sunshine all week! - and this was a real bonus. The accommodation was ideally located, with restaurants, pubs and shops all within easy walking distance, and we were right by the lake so we enjoyed lovely lakeside walks every day. Thank yo...more
Coleridge Cottage is a fabulous property. The location is great being close to shops, pubs, eateries, walks and local attractions and easy to find on arrival. The cottage is spacious yet homely, furnished to a lovely standard and well maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need whether you want takeaways, to cook a roast dinner or bake scones and the dishwasher to clean it all up for you. The separate utility room was a great bonus with downstairs toilet, washing machine and full size kitchen sink. The outside courtyard was lovely too as we were lucky to have lovely ...more
Lovely house with bedrooms downstairs and a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and seating area upstairs. There is a second bathroom with shower on the top floor with main bathroom on ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped including dish washing items. We loved the location as easy access to Penrith, Keswick and Ulswater with lots of lovely walks. Whilst the property is on a working farm it’s very quiet. There are farm dogs that come & say hello so you do need to watch out for poop but you are in the countryside & they are working dogs. We had a couple of visits from the Herdwick sheep that ...more
We were looking for a level-access place in Keswick and this amply met our requirements. It is exceptionally well equipped, fairly newly furnished and very comfortable. All it lacks, being in a yard, is a view of the mountains - but you don't have to go far for one, and it's as central as you could possibly hope for. The access is very tight, and turning the car round was exciting (I recommend an assistant!). The only complaint: we could only book 3 nights at short notice in the Easter holidays.
This was a return visit 12 months from the previous one, and we loved it ... from the first moments of arrival to the sad departure a week later. Keswisk Cottages had clearly looked at our few pointers from a year ago, and had made some subtle but really effective changes: a bit of TLC and some nice touches here & there. Brandlehow is so wonderully positoned just yards from the waters edge, the welcoming feel of the property and the great condition of the place just makes it feel like a real home-from-home ... we like it so much we are already trying to book again for next year! Thankyou to...more
We have stayed in Stanger cottage several times before and were disappointed to find it very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils than it was previously , making it much harder to cater than before ,the door locks had also been changed from our visit 18 months before and the back door was difficult to open ,when we arrived we rang Keswick cottages about it as we couldn't get in and were told just keep turning the key and it will open eventually, which would indicate that it was an on going problem, we again reported it after turning the key over 50 times and still being unable to get in ,an...more
