This flat is in the heart of town next to the best restaurants and cafes. It has lovely views of Skiddaw from the kitchen. Would highly recommend!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Sheepfold Barn over Christmas. It is such a nice property with a lovely interior. It had everything we needed and communication from Keswick Cottages was clear. The barn is just a 10-15 minute drive from Keswick with lots of great walks even closer. There's a lane running up to and past the house for a morning dog walk.
A fantastic place to stay whilst we were in the lakes. Quiet residential area with free on street parking, yet only a few mins walk from the town centre for shops and restaurants. Accommodation was spotless, and place was well equipped. It worked really well for our two families staying there. Would definitely stay again if in the area, which I’m sure we will be. There was lots to do in and around Keswick for young families. Would recommend booking restaurants in advance - many nice options but the best spots book out quickly!
Upon walking through rear door into boot room it felt warm which gave a welcome home feeling. Lounge is clean comfortable and very cozy. Being unsure of log burner operation caused some initial problems lighting fire, some instructions as to which vent was which would have helped Feeling of warmth and welcome continued upstairs with a well appointed bathroom and really good shower. We know the area well and fortunately we had good weather for our break and took full advantage of the cottages ideal location.
Great location within easy walk of shops and some lovely pubs - also not far from Derwentwater for beautiful strolls near the lakeshore. Spacious and light but very cozy in the evenings. Well provided kitchen though the layout was a bit tricky when we were all seated at the table. Team at Keswick Cottages were friendly and helpful.
Our 4th stay at this property and one of the best due to the fantastic bright but cold weather. It’s always warm and welcoming to return back to this lovely house. It’s ideally situated in a quiet street within easy walking distance of the town centre and we hardly used our cars during our stay.
We stayed at the Eyrie over the Christmas week and had an amazing stay. The apartment was beautifully decorated for Christmas. All around the property there were lots of unusual ornaments and pictures. All of the bedrooms were well appointed and certainly my bedroom (the master) on the top floor had beautiful views over The Dodds and Latrigg. On the landing there is a telescope for visitors to view the amazing scenery. My son and his partner whilst using the telescope viewed a gentleman proposing to his girlfriend on the summit of Latrigg. Anyone staying at The Eyrie would be sure to have a w...more
Lovely property set a few minutes from the town and Fitz park Decor & cleanliness of a very high standard and provision of a car parking space is a great bonus as surrounding streets really busy even in October. We found the stairs quite slippery so need to wear slippers or light shoes to get a grip Other than that can’t fault the place and would fully recommend
What started as a 2 night stay here developed into 6 nights due to the wonderful facility of Maiden Moor. Although Maiden Moor is lacking in Lakeland views from its windows, the location is superb for convenience with all needs close at hand and a few minutes walk into the centre of Keswick. Maiden Moor is perfectly appointed with new appliances throughout and the Tempur mattresses are a delight to sleep on. The smaller bedroom is a little cramped for two people but as I was only one, it was ok. The support from Keswick Cottages was first class which enabled me to extend my stay with ease. ...more
This property was great, location very quiet but not far from the centre of Keswick. The bungalow is very warm and comfortable with a lovely conservatory and garden. The beds are super comfy which is always a bonus. Kitchen has everything you need too, all very clean too. We were also very thankful for the lovely bottle of Prosecco and biscuits which was very nice. A really nice comfy place to stay that we really enjoyed and would definitely stay again. Perhaps a small mirror would be a useful addition in the bathroom as there isn’t one. Also perhaps a couple of washing machine tablets/bin b...more
Lovely little house. Quiet area. 10 minutes walk to centre all shops and supermarket. Parking on roads busy but was New Year and was able to park outside house after couple of days. Enclosed garden fab for dogs and children. Spotless and modern. Log burner a bonus. Highly rate property and Keswick Cottages.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain View. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well equipped, very comfortable and most importantly for a winter break, warm! Perfectly located in the centre of Keswick, close to shops, bars and restaurants.
Ideal central location for a short stay in Keswick. Once parked up I didn’t need to move the car as there was plenty of walks from the town. Lovely 1 bed, modern fully kitted kitchen and up to date shower room. Lovely touch of a welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk & biscuits plus a pack with washing up essentials. Not suitable for anyone that can’t manage stairs as one set straight up from the front door and another up to the bedroom. Being so central you have to accept they will be some late night noise from people leaving pubs and early morning from delivery’s to local businesses. Not a prob...more
Stayed here with my family last week and loved the accommodation which is a two minute walk to the Town centre and a five minute walk to Derwentwater. Really clean and well equipped and a bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch.Parking is great with two spaces and communication from Keswick Cottages is professional and friendly especially Jessica. The only slight downside is the poor water pressure so we couldn't use any taps or the toilet while we having a shower as it affected the temperature drastically from freezing cold to extremely hot.Beds are on the hard side but there are mattress topp...more
We use Keswick Cotgages on a regular basis and their properties are generally presented well. Their clients are obviously required to provide a standardised level of facility with a minimum standard of equipment and presented to a standardised level. Bedding, towels etc all as we have come to expect. Alison’s View was no exception. It’s not a picture postcard cottage by any means given it’s located almost directly in the centre of town. It is however well maintained, clean and has everything you will need for a break in Keswick. The garage is an absolute bonus in the centre of Keswick. Very pl...more
Had an excellent stay at Cherry Garth. Great property with lots of indoor and outdoor space for 8 people and a dog. Location is quiet yet close to the town centre. Had the benefit of a private parking space albeit a little awkward to access. Would definitely recommend Cherry Garth to others and would look to stay again.
We’re a family of 6 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs and we’ve just come back from the most amazing stay at Ellergil. You couldn’t find a better location, and the fact it had a small garden for the dogs was a complete winner. The beds were super comfy, there was so much space and everything you needed and more in the kitchen. Lots of fun games provided, which was an added bonus. We also went up at the end of Nov and we had Christmas trees in the living rooms and lovely decorations. Made a huge impact We’ve fed back some small suggestions to Keswick cottages, for example some Children’s cutlery, p...more
Returned to Skiddaw Skies for a third year on a pre Christmas break. Stayed at many properties in Keswick, but when we found Skiddaw Skies it was the perfect property for us. We plan to return many more times.
A nicely situated property with great views. There were walks close by which were great. A short drive to Keswick to all local amenities and fun things. All the lakes and walks were accessible from here. A very grounding atmosphere. The support staff were very good!
The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful location and it is a comfortable and beautiful apartment/flat. The letting agents answer their phones quickly and are very pleasant and helpful to speak with to resolve any questions. We deliberately chose a small, local company through which to find a property and were not disappointed.
Stayed in Bridge House for a family Christmas, it certainly did not disappoint, Spacious with all the amenities needed for a great stay. We have been staying in cottages in Keswick for 20 years and Bridge House is certainly amongst the best of the larger cottages. We will be back
Super central but down a quiet little street. Beautiful interior. Would definitely stay again in future
The apartment upstairs was extremely noisy with a child constantly running around from early morning until around 9pm. The weather wasn’t great and understand everyone had to be in because of the stormy conditions but this was constant running from one end to another. Apartment 1 was lovely and the added bonus of parking was great but has put us off booking ground floor again.
The property is in a great location with absolutely stunning views in every direction. It's within easy walking reach of several pubs which all do good food and there are lovely walks in every direction. The 3 bedrooms are all a good size with extremely comfortable beds and the 3 bathrooms are well appointed, the en-suite maybe a tad on the small size, but perfectly useable. The bungalow was beautifully warm and the seating area at the top of the garden was just lovely for a relaxing sit out to admire the scenery. Obviously it would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues, due to...more
Living room / kitchen was well designed and worked well for our party of 4 visitors. We hired riverside last year and got to know Michael and Daphne quite well and loved the the personal touch that they brought. Lydia's s cottage was prob a bit on the small side for " olldies" but we managed fine. If we were to make a suggestion for the future we found strange dust covered stuff under the bed in the double room which was a bit off putting. My wife also spent some time cleaning the hose from the shower which was covered in black mould. These points might be disturbing to others and should b...more
We have stayed at other cottages with Keswick Cottages, so we knew that the Fairbank would be just as comfortable as the previous cottages , we have stayed at. The Fairbank is a lovely cottage, decorated very tastefully inside. You walk through the front door straight into the kitchen area. Which is excellent and there is an area to leave muddy boots before entering the rest of the cottage. The beds are very comfy for a good nights sleep, and a recliner chair was excellent for relaxing in after a long day on the fells. The cottage looks out on a park area which is ideal for walking our dog m...more
What could be better than spending Christmas in The Lakes" !!! The property supplied everything we needed for the festive season. The fridge freezer provided fridge space in addition to the under the counter fridge, which was perfect for storing all the extra beer, wine and food that is associated with Christmas Well done once again Keswick Cottages
We loved everything about Bridge Cottage- the location, just a stones throw from the square, the cleanliness, the decor, the facilities, the quality of furnishings and the car parking was a huge bonus too. We loved every second of our stay there, and will definitely back!
A lovely clean, warm, well equipped apartment in a very central location. Keswickcottages are a good company to deal with.
We have stayed at 5 The Townhouses 4 times now. Such a good location. Everything you could need is provided. Very well stocked kitchen - plenty of glasses for the fizz! . We were very pleased to see a new bed in one of the rooms - it was lovely and comfortable. New cushions as well in bedroom and lounge. We just love this house and will be back next year.
We have stayed here a number of times before and it never disappoints. It has an excellent location and is well provided with everything that one could need to make for a really good stay.
Causey View is in a great location with lovely walks available from your doorstep. There’s a good selection of cafes and pubs nearby. The bungalow is extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. We had questions during our stay and Rebecca at Keswick Cottages was a star. We very much hope to return.
This is a very spacious apartment located on the first floor of a small block of three. It is well equipped to a high standard. It was very clean and easy to keep warm considering the time of year. The car parking is very good, not a tight space like other places in Keswick. It was very comfortable, especially the bed and quality bedding. The location is very good for access to the local shops and pubs etc. Overall one of the best places we have stayed in Keswick! The booking agent, Keswick Cottages, will now be our default go to as the booking process was easy and their provision of informati...more
Despite poor weather (even by Lakes standards) the cottage was a very cosy retreat and once the clouds cleared we had the pleasure of the beautiful view from the cottage.
Excellent in all respects - very comfortable ( especially the bed!) and absolutely immaculate when we arrived. High quality towels and bed linen and good internet connection. Very well equipped - difficult to think of anything which wasn't provided and the service in dealing with a couple of problems, which were nobody's fault, could not have been more prompt - someone came out on Sunday evening to attend to a heating problem. Ideal setting, being only a few minutes from one of the best supermarkets in the country, Booths, and from the bus station. Perhaps marginally more expensive than a...more
Beautiful views from property, so extremely steep road up to the cottage - may be a problem if snow/ice, although container of grit at side of road on way up. Beds very comfortable. Inadequate heating in ensuite shower room (heated towel rail only). Have stayed in better equipped kitchens.
We have stayed at Tawny Cottage previously and it met all expectations. On this occasion the refurb to the Kitchen only made things better. The cottage has all you need in terms of cooking, heating and even washing walking gear. The location is ideal for exploring the area on foot, car parking for two cars is a bonus .Do try the Farmers Arms if you get chance ,overall an excellent stay over the New Year.
The cottage is a good size for 2 people. It has everything you’ll need and is perfectly located in Portinscale. The kitchen is quite small but functional. There is plenty of space for outdoor kit (boots, bags, waterproofs) in the spacious, heated conservatory. We had 2 bikes for which there is space in the secure utility room in which there’s a washing machine for dirty kit. There’s also an outside tap with hose for washing dirty boots and bikes. The bathroom (with bath/shower) is very spacious and very warm so great for drying kit.
Lovely property that was perfect for 4. Gardens beautiful, upmarket area, interior very nice, location within walking distance. We would stay again. A few things to note... The driveway is very dark, even with the outside light on. My mum accidentally went to the left hand side of the sloped path and tripped over a raised paving slab, and fell on the drive as she said she couldnt see. Needs a light further down the drive, as the surface is split level. We have booked 3 seperate properties with keswick properties and have liked all three. Have you considered a loyalty or recommend a friend sc...more
Fantastic week at Grandy Nook for 2 adults + 10month baby. Highly recommend to those looking for car-free trip to Lakes, with all the options of Keswick (pubs, restaurant, supermarket) + buses elsewhere. Accommodation was ideal - very comfy bed, spacious lounge area, functional kitchen & bathroom. Great heating & smart TV for chilly Dec nights. Service from Jessica was brilliant throughout. Will be contacting Keswick Cottages for next Lakes adventure.
We had a lovely stay in this very cosy and comfortable cottage in the centre of Braithwaite village. The property is well equipped and with a good enclosed rear garden which would be a very pleasant spot to sit in the warmer weather. The garage might be a bit small for larger cars but there’s ample parking space at the front of the property. We were lucky to have dry, bright weather and even though it was quite cold the cottage was always lovely and warm. We’d certainly be happy to make a return visit in the future.
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, clean and homely. Rebecca at the Agency was extremely helpful. I would recommend the cottage.
Brilliant and responsive customer service to my questions when arriving Lovely cottage with lovely views.
Perfect location with a fabulous view. The apartment is very cosy, comfy and dog friendly. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves
A lovely cosy cottage (with wood burner). Good WiFi. Great location for local walks. Nice pub round the corner. Great for the odd supplies with the shop over the road. Great for pets. Road parking was fine. Everything was great in fact, except the pillows were too thick for me (I had to find a cushion and put the pillow case on that), the fridge was a bit small and the kitchen a bit small too (only space for 1 cook at a time)!
This is a great property in a very good location but there are a couple of negatives; yard needed to be jet washed, beds not all that comfortable, toilet flush in two bathrooms very poor but still enjoyed our stay.
Excellent service from Keswick Cottages. Very quick with responses asking for a last minute break next day. House was all ready for us and glad I requested loggs for the open fire which was fantastic to have . Didn't mind staying in sitting at the cosy fire when it rained. Lovely views. Kitchen well equipped. Location very close to town. Only criticism would be fluffier pillows in the main bedroom and I felt the sofa wasn't very comfortable for me.
Stayed several times now and will be staying again soon. Comfortable and cosy with everything you need.
I had a wonderful stay at Shelley Cottage. It was a fantastic location - easy walk into the town and great opportunities for amazing walks! All the information given to me prior was perfect and there was lots of helpful information given. The upstairs of the cottage was lovely and cosy and the garden was beautiful to watch the sunset. The only one downfall was the smell downstairs - strong odour of damp.
We selected Quaver cottage as it was in a good location for us, with great access for an event at the Pencil Factory Convention Site and the shops/cafes. Also it was quick and simple to tidy up when it can to leaving. The kitchen was well equipped and the oven and hob were quick to heat up and very effective. Keswick is a great place to stay with a good range of shops and eating places as well so many walks near by.
Excellent location and beautiful, spacious apartment with parking for 2 cars . Booked through Keswick Cottages who I cannot fault and I would definitely book through them again . I would use this apartment again
Perfect location,in a quiet cul de sac.Supermarket across the road as is the town centre.Clean modern interior, which I could not fault.
Lovely warm cottage. Good location. Well laid out nothing to complain about. Rebecca was really good at helping to book the cottage. Would stay here again. Susan
A really well presented lodge moments away from some great walks. We stayed for 4 nights in December and had a lovely time! It is easy enough to get into Keswick and at this time of year secluded enough. It is next to a caravan park so in the summer may be a bit busier! The beds were very comfortable, as was the lounge area. The only things I would like to have been made aware of beforehand were that after about 8am the internet connection (Wi-Fi) is basically non-existent until the late evening, fine if you're out all day but we had trouble downloading walking routes after breakfast for the...more
This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Braithwaite is a lovely village with a great village shop on the doorstep (fresh bread, cakes and a little tea shop) and friendly pubs. You can walk or cycle from the door and never need to use the car all week. The bus service is also good. The cottage is comfortable, warm and lots of space to store muddy clothes and bikes. The owners were really friendly and helpful and left lots of useful bits and pieces. There is parking outside for two medium sized cars, any bigger and you'd need to park the second in the village which is a few minutes walk. ...more
Stayed at Elm Cottage a number of times as great location and well maintained. Thanks to the owners and Keswick Cottage’s for the hamper as we had to cancel our holiday earlier in the year due to illness. We will definitely visit again next year.
Another great week in Keswick, staying in Bridge House Apartment 3. Clean, cosy and warm, and very well appointed. Excellent central town location.
As always Keswick Cottages where helpful with any queries and the house was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend this house & Keswick Cottages
3 nights booked in Isabel cottage. The booking process was easy to follow and communication up to the stay was clear and plentiful. Excellent location in centre of the town. Cottage is clean, comfortable and warm with all facilities for self catering. We didn't use the cooking appliances but the instructions didn't look easy to follow as previous reviews however, there are plenty of choices on the doorstep for eating out. Vehicle access to the cottage is narrow so would advise only small/medium cars attempt it. We parked at the nearby long stay car park for the duration at £20 which is good va...more
Perfect for two people and small dog ,kitchen is tiny but has everything you need ,very clean and welcoming ,close to everything would say again .
A lovely cottage with all of the essentials, very cosy and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back!
Comfortable and clean cottage, especially comfortable beds. Our only problem was the parking. Access to the parking space is very narrow and arriving in the dark we pranged our brand new car! Coming in and out it took two people to guide the car out safely.
Great service from yourselves House was spotless Great amenities Comfortable Could definitely do with changing large sofa in the lounge , worn and has seen better days It’s passed its best Loved our stay and have booked again for next new year Location is great and house has so much space Water pressure not great and Wi-Fi poor
This flat, whilst obviously well used, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay in Keswick. The little welcome kitchen and tea packs were a nice touch. The location couldn't have been better. We could walk to everywhere from the flat which also had a handy off road parking spot. The information from Keswick Cottages was spot on and there was a handy tablet packed with information for our stay. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
We had a great week in Roslin. As regular visitors to the lakes we’ve stayed in many cottages and we would definitely return to Roslin. Good sized living space, and well-stocked kitchen (although could do with an extra baking tray or 2!). Bedrooms were a good size and comfy beds. Lovely views from the windows to the fells. Easy to park and walk into Keswick.
We have just stayed for 3 nights in 3 The Townhouses. This was a lovely 4 bed property in a fabulous location, within easy walking distance of Keswick centre. The house was very clean and offered all the facilities that you required. Would stay again and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Crandy Nook is a lovely place to stay - warm, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. One of the beds hadn't been made up on arrival but after a quick phone call they sorted it within 10 minutes. Pillows could be a little comfier but that's just personal preference. Great location and parking permits were very handy. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic stay in Stickle Tarn. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay in Keswick. Being positioned on the corner of the building, the apartment afforded fabulous views of the mountains on two sides. We were also blessed with unexpectedly amazing weather - wall-to-wall blue skies and sunshine all week! - and this was a real bonus. The accommodation was ideally located, with restaurants, pubs and shops all within easy walking distance, and we were right by the lake so we enjoyed lovely lakeside walks every day. Thank yo...more
Great cottage and location to stop at. When we arrived o a cold foggy night all the lights where on to make it easy to to get in also nice and warm as heating was on . We will be booking the cottage again
Lovely house with bedrooms downstairs and a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and seating area upstairs. There is a second bathroom with shower on the top floor with main bathroom on ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped including dish washing items. We loved the location as easy access to Penrith, Keswick and Ulswater with lots of lovely walks. Whilst the property is on a working farm it’s very quiet. There are farm dogs that come & say hello so you do need to watch out for poop but you are in the countryside & they are working dogs. We had a couple of visits from the Herdwick sheep that ...more
My sister and I wanted to take our fairly recently disabled mother on a little holiday to give my dad, who is her full time carer some much needed respite. I spent hours searching for a property that catered for my mums unique needs. Lots of properties say they are wheelchair friendly or disabled friendly and it’s only when you interrogate the photos and you realise it’s not what you actually need. The handrails maybe on the wrong side, there is a gravel drive, a walk in shower but it’s actually a shower tray…… I found it incredible difficult and frustrating. I came across Sam’s cottage via o...more
We have stayed in Stanger cottage several times before and were disappointed to find it very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils than it was previously , making it much harder to cater than before ,the door locks had also been changed from our visit 18 months before and the back door was difficult to open ,when we arrived we rang Keswick cottages about it as we couldn't get in and were told just keep turning the key and it will open eventually, which would indicate that it was an on going problem, we again reported it after turning the key over 50 times and still being unable to get in ,an...more
We booked this cottage because we like to take our two spaniels to nice places. This is the most dog friendly place we have ever been. Secure, large garden and stunning traffic-free walks literally from your doorstep. We stayed late November when the ferry was not running, a round trip to Kewick in the car for shopping is at leat an hour so arrive well stocked. If the weather gods play ball, watch beautiful reflections on the lake by day and the Milky Way at night. Last but not least, Keswick Cottages were efficient, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Book direct for best price.
