We had a fabulous short break at Mill house. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and in a great location. It was lovely to come home to this beautiful warm house after autumnal walks. We loved the pool table and relaxing in the kitchen diner. Close to 2 pubs and the village shop/tearoom where we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

I stayed with my two sisters for 4 nights in September. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious. All 3 double bedrooms were large. Having two bathrooms (plus an additional toilet!) was great.The furnishings and decor were lovely, giving the house a cosy, welcoming feel. It was much better equipped than many holiday lets, in terms of crockery, kitchen equipment, books, sound system etc. The glimpses from upper windows of Skiddaw and other hills was nice. I first came to the Lake District on honeymoon with my late wife forty years ago, and have been back many times since; it’s one of my favorite places in the world, and I was very excited to share it with my partner, two of my three kids, and their spouses. The Eyrie was a great base for us: excellent morning coffee options (Elm and Yonder) just steps away, beautiful Fitzgerald Park just across the way, lots of nearby restaurants, and within easy walking distance of the bus station (even with all our luggage!) and the ferry landing. A wonderful stay in a very comfortable and cosy property which offered everything one could ask for including onsite parking for one car. It's location is absolutely perfect being a few minutes walk from Keswick, along with at least 4 lovely parks close by all of which are fabulous for dogs. The Keswick Cottages team are very friendly and efficient. Sadly, we understand the owners will not permit dogs onsite for any new bookings, so we'll seek alternative accommodation in the area.
5 of us had a lovely Monday to Friday booking at 7 The Townhouses. Everything was as stated and the bathrooms were beautifully clean and the beds very comfortable. We had to ask our neighbour for a corkscrew, they had 3! We did have a problem with the shower over the bath but this was promptly sorted out. During one night the heating randomly came on! No idea why! Otherwise all good. We would come again. It was lovely to be able to walk to all the facilities and not use the car.
The cottage is perfectly situated in the centre of Keswick with it's own parking. Stylishly decoration, it has all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this cosy cottage.

Maiden Moor is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Keswick. The location is right opposite Booths, really convenient for provisions, and ideal for walking into Keswick, or up any of the local fells. Its very well equipped, great Wi-Fi, all the bits you'd hope for in the kitchen, and lovely and warm showers, comfortable and cosy, ideal for relaxing after a days hiking. We enjoyed another lovely stay at Deer Close Cottage. It really is perfect in every way - comfortable, clean and great location. This time we saw a deer and a few red squirrels in the garden. We can't wait to return in a few months!
This was our fifth stay at Blencathra, and we have already booked for next year, it's a great place to stay.
We have used the flat for many years. Great location, good relatively recent refurbishment and plenty of exercise up and down the stairs.
The cottage was very comfortable and in ideal location for walking and accessing Keswick. The layout was great and the kitchen was well equipped.
Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Great to have reserved parking for two cars. Well furnished and décor in good condition. Nice kitchen/dining area and lounge. We've stayed in Bridge House 4 or 5 times now - it's a great house in the perfect location for us, with all the amenities we need. Having the huge garden is a brilliant bonus, perfect for the grandkids to play safely, parking is ideal, and the house itself is very spacious and comfortable. As always, it was immaculately clean (brilliant job by the cleaning staff) and had everything we needed. Keswick Cottages staff very helpful as always - thoroughly recommended :)
Coledale was easy to locate and on a very busy Saturday having allocated parking was brilliant, as it was throughout the week. Access to the property was easy to. The apartment was comfortable and cosy, and had all facilities we needed. It was close enough for us to walk into Keswick, and a great base for many walks too. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coledale, and in fact already have! And hopefully we will return next year too.
Farmers Retreat was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have been in for a very long time. We visit Keswick frequently. It was clean, comfortable with beautiful decor and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved its location on the edge of Fitz Park so the easy walk into town was made more special by walking through a pristine park. The children enjoyed their evening swims in the river Greta. Fantastic property situated right in the centre of Keswick town. Right opposite Hope Park, lovely location. Access to the apartment was easy, property was very clean and well maintained with everything we needed inside. Would definitely recommend.
We're recently back from our 2nd stay at Skiddaw Skies. We just love the apartment - its facilities, views and wonderful collection of books and maps. There are a lot of stairs, but we have no issues with them. Only disappointment was the dreadful weather for walking, culminating in storm Amy, so it was even more important to have comfortable accommodation. Contact with Keswick Cottages was helpful and efficient and it's so good to be able to talk to someone easily, rather than having to battle with automated systems.

Great stay for a family of 8, the only gripe was the main sofa was difficult for the older members of our party to get in and out of. All the other facilities were top class.
Lovely cottage situated just far enough out of town with bus stops and a pub nearby. Very well equipped. Lovely outside area overlooking river which would be perfect for having a drink on a summer evening.

Our five nights in swallows lodge was the perfect location for a hiking trip in the hills around Keswick , you can walk out of the front door and on to a footpath in more or less any direction, swallows lodge, has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and two good bathrooms, and a lounge/ living room area to put your feet up in, only a bookcase with local interests was missing. This place is in a lovely location and is a decent size property with plenty of parking. The beds are really comfy and showers nice and powerful. Lovely soft sheets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. Great views from front and back of the property too. It would be even better if it had a more comfortable sofa, bigger TV and decent size dining room table (it's tiny for 4 people).
We stay in this apartment every year and we love it . The apartment is close to everything we need and it is beautiful for us and the dogs it is like a home from home we will be back next year with all the family this time can’t wait . I have just recommended Keswick cottages to someone in the park and would recommend them to anyone.
This is a very well equipped bungalow in a beautiful location. Wonderful views of hills from every window, in a very quiet and secluded location, whilst only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Keswick. The bungalow is very well furnished with all mod cons and lots of small extras. The garden is fully enclosed, and perfectly safe for well trained dogs to run around. Just back from a week staying in Red Robin. Nice spacious accommodation with good secure garden for the dog. Quiet location close to the town centre. Modern bathroom with separate bath and shower. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely flat ideally situated near Keswick. Easy access to Keswick (approx 3.5 miles), Buttermere, Catbells etc etc. Bus stop just outside accommodation with frequent buses to and from Keswick if required, even late into the evening
5 the Townhouses was perfect for our 5 night stay; comfortably housing 5 people (including 3 teenagers) and one dog. The comfortable first floor living room gave us glimpse views of the surrounding hills and the large table in the well-equipped kitchen was great for family games. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely property less than 5 minutes walk from central Keswick, Internal garage was a bonus for safe parking of car. Keswick Cottages were quick to replace toaster when I reported a problem. Good customer service.
This was our first time staying at Fairbank and the first time we have booked with Keswick Cottages. We were quite happy with both and the welcome box of tea and biscuits was a lovely gesture! Fairbank was in an ideal location for our needs...being so close to accessing Fitz Park via the bridge opposite the property was lovely. This is the second time that we have stayed at Greta Bank. It is in a convenient location close to the bus station and Booths for shopping. It is useful for us that it is all on one floor, the ground floor so you don't have to carry your bags far. The apartment is very clean and well stocked with crockery and cutlery and feels spacious. It is very quiet even though it is centrally situated and the beds are comfortable. We loved Jasmine Cottage! Cosy, comfortable and we loved the area. A tearoom next door and a great pub a 5 minute walk away and excellent hikes on the doorstop. It was perfect for us!
Great location in Braithwaite and well appointed cottage with nice, shiny bath (welcome after a day on the fells) and lots of useful equipment for home cooking - would have been great to have had a few more baking trays to put multiple roasting items in the oven but the air fryer worked really well, so maybe not needed for most people. A comfortable bungalow with far reaching impressive views, though the extremely steep drive is something we’d rather not tackle in icy weather. Keswick Cottages have very good customer service and the digital information ahead of visiting is very helpful. A nice welcome pack and lovely and warm on arrival. Lovely cottage but wouldn’t think it is suitable for 4 Adults especially 2nd Bedroom A few tweaks needed Log burner needs protected glove for opening door when alight and maybe tongs when putting logs on fire Not much storage for food
We have stayed here several times in the past and expect to do again in the future. An outstanding feature is its position, being only a few minutes walk from the bus station, supermarkets and Keswick centre. It is however very quiet, tucked away behind the Bridge House complex with a private parking space which is easily accessible. Comfort and condition are good, especially the on-suit bathroom. However the living area features a large wall mounted clock which has been temperamental in the past and has now given up working all together. That garden…. If you have dry weather it just stunning. Lovely stay at Greta House, great location. The back bedroom view is amazing. Parking not the best but we could always get a space. Keswick cottages always on hand with any queries. The only downside for us would be pillows… only because I prefer them firmer. Also in the warmer weather a fan in the bedrooms would be a great addition.

Easy to book a last minute getaway over the phone. Shortly after payment we received an email confirming the booking and providing full details of the property, key safe number, location etc. The property is very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Parking space in Keswick a great bonus, and location is very central, just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town. Lovely little apartment in central Keswick with everything we needed for our week long stay. Not the biggest we’ve stayed in but very comfortable and cosy. Well equipped kitchen with everything you could need for a self catered break with a decent grocery store in next street. Very close to bars and restaurants and selection of take away if not. Reserved parking space was a bonus considering how central we were. Some road noise but you can’t have everything!!! Would definitely stay again.
We try to visit Keswick every year and Quaver Cottage is our favourite stay and always book through Keswick Cottages. We have had no issues over the last 8 years or so. No hesitation in recommending the above.
Second time using acorn cottage, Its a perfect location for access to the town, and the lake. Many walks can just be started from the doorstep. Cottage is again clean and perfectly equipped with everything you need for your stay. Highly recommended.

The cottage is always spotless, warm, and beautifully maintained – a real home-from-home in the heart of Keswick. The peaceful location, just a short walk from the town centre, with easy access to walks, shops, and restaurants. Whether I’m heading out for a hike or just relaxing, Tithe Cottage has everything we need. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.
Been going to Keswick for years and this was a last minute decision which was a good one. Loved being so close to everything and the place was immaculate home from home could not fault it. Thanks to the team who looked after us and nothing was too much i even contacted the office on the Sunday a day before we were due to leave to secure it for four more nights. David was very helpful indeed.
Lovely cottage and location . We ended up staying an extra night as no one was booked in . Only minor fault was stuff in the welcome pack and cupboards was out well of date so we never got to use the coffee machine . Certainly didn’t spoil our holiday .
Stayed numerous times in this property and staying again next year. Well equipped with everything you need to stay in a great central location with easy access to pubs/shops but still on a quiet street.
We have stayed at Rose Bank Cottage a few times now. Perfect location for walking, plus buses to other walks, into Keswick, etc. so can leave the car at cottage all week if you want. Eating out at Coledale Inn is an easy walk with the dog. Nice big garden for the dog, with plenty of birds for her, unfortunately, to bark at. Comfy beds at the end of the day. All you could need.
Our third stay at Elm Court and would definitely come back again. Perfect location to explore Keswick and surrounding area. Only suggestion is probably needs a new vacuum cleaner.
Barf cottage is a lovely clean, comfortable cottage which is very well equipped. We were blessed with the weather and had a wonderful relaxing week here. The pub is about 1 minutes walk away, and there is a lovely cafe in the village, about 5 minutes walk. There are lots of lovely walks around - Keswick is just over a mile along a level footpath and there are lovely walks along the side of the lake, and up to Catbells. We loved Isabel cottage. We visit Keswick several times a year so normally look out for a more economical stay but it was worth spending a bit more for the luxury. The team at Keswick Cottages were very helpful and super efficient with sending the info re booking.

This was our second stay at Gretaside and I have to say that the weather blessed us yet again ! The central location was very suitable to us as we have a dog, just around the corner from the park for morning and evening walks. Everything in the apartment was clean and little extra's left for us in the new updated kitchen was very welcome.
Weekend spent with my family and young child for my 30th birthday weekend. I can’t recommend Keswick Cottages enough, from the minute I booked they were welcoming, gave clear instructions and couldn’t do enough for us. The process of checking in was brilliant with the parking available and the location of the house itself outstanding in the heart of Keswick walking distance to the High Street. The house itself was very clean and perfect for the weekend we wanted. All my family loved it and we will definitely be booking again in the future
Second time at the property and every bit as good as the first. Excellent area for taking off boots and walking gear, the property is comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. A central location accessed from the rear with free parking (note this is a 2 minute walk but we were able to unload/load on our arrival/departure outside). Beds were great, slept so well! Stayed for 2 nights in Shelley Cottage. Great location and Keswick is my favourite place in the lakes. We had great weather and the garden was lovely with the summer house that is a real sun trap. Views from the Cottage are stunning.
PINECROFT is an excellent bungalow for up to 5 people with 3 bedrooms all on one level. Large bathroom with a great walk in shower Comfortable lounge - we found the gas fire quite difficult to use Kitchen/diner large and well equipped. Chairs to dining table very heavy and need cushions as we took our 97 year old mother this was akward to get her seated. A clean, comfortable house in a quiet location but only a short walk away from the town centre and restaurants, shops etc. The welcome pack was a nice touch, and particularly welcomed by our four-legged friend! Just a few minor issues: - the kitchen door doesn't close securely, so our small dog could easily push it open. The sneck needs adjust. - the stair 'gate' seems past its best. Enjoyed our break at stickel tarn the apartment is in a great location with the benefit of an allocated parking bay.The beds are very comfortable and the living room is bright and airy and the views of the hills are great.The only downside to the apartment is iff you are old and not very good with stairs it wouldn’t be for you.The smart tv was good as Netflix and prime were available to use when chilling out after a hard days walking.We have over the years stayed in many cottages and apartments in Keswick and would rate this as one of the best.
The location was ideal and it was of reasonable value for the 5 of us. I love sitting out on the balcony in an evening. This is the 4th year we have stayed in the cottage because we have always been satisfied up until now. Sadly the house is in need of some TLC. The tiles in the bathroom were held on with duct tape, not ideal, and I would say that it needs a deep clean. Skirting boards were covered in dust, the small chest of drawers in the single room had juice spilled down the front and was sticky and the inside of the front living room window was covered in fingerprints. A lovely cottage in a handy location close to the town centre. Parking 300 yards away so difficult to unload and load up as double yellow lines outside. Internally very nice and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. All in all highly recommended but be aware of the parking issue.
Lovely cottage in the centre of town. Just 2 mins away from the town centre, yet set in a quiet yard. All amenities within a stones throw. Very comfortable. If you are visiting in a larger vehicle, don't forget to pull your wing mirrors in when going through the arch !
The position of the house was brilliant for access to Keswick and the Northern Fells. It's situated in a quiet private road near the Farmers Arms, a warm and friendly pub with good grub!! I was a little disappointed though on arrival as the and itpet friendly policy of the owners was obviously evident as soon as I opened the door. Although the cleaners had done a great job, there is little they could of done to mask the scent of a pet or two, I suspect, and it took a considerable airing and a fair amount of masking with scented air-fresheners and copious amounts of odour-fighting sprays to...more
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Last minute booking - staff at Keswick Cottages were really helpful and the owners brilliantly responsive. Very quiet residential location, great views from the back and only a bit less than a 10 mins walk into Keswick. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom. Easy to control the temperature in the property (not always the case on rentals). Well equipped kitchen. TVs in both the lounge and main bedroom were very good. The sofa in the lounge wasn’t the most practical or comfortable compared to other places where we’ve stayed. Hot tub was a real bonus. Would we stay again… yes!
Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. The water levels were incredibly high when we arrived so couldn't make the best use of the launches as we have in the past but enjoyed a trip later in the week. Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring.
