Our group had a great experience staying at 45 Eskin Street. The house is spacious yet feels cosy and homely. The bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. The house is in a fantastic location. We really enjoyed our stay here and would thoroughly recommend!!
Beautiful home in a lovely village. Very well equipped and lovely to have a holiday home which is pet-free. Neighbours are very pleasant and friendly too.
Absolutely beautiful location, so tastefully decorated & well stocked kitchen. Ideal spot for visiting the Lakes.
We stayed at the Eryrie for a week for my daughters 30th birthday, wow what a place, the house is huge and amazing , views from every window , lovely base in a perfect location, stones through away from the shops and restaurants, gorgeous park just opposite, most of our group went off climbing different mountains every day , while the others still had plenty too do , bus station only a 5 minute walk , so easy to take a bus all over , the Lake District is a very beautiful place to be , would highly recommended the Eyrie , we will be back
Another enjoyable stay in this lovely property. We appreciate the quiet location with good off road parking. The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the property. It is kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeper. The friendly, helpful team at Keswick Cottages manage the property well . Local is the key word here . We called into their office and had a chat with Sarah . We have already booked a return visit in 2026.
We stayed at Deer Close Cottage primarily due to it's location in the Borrowdale Valley. We are 'bagging' the Wainwrights and the cottage is close enough to tick a few more off. It is only a short and very lovely walk into Keswick for a 'down' day and food/drink. The cottage is as beautiful as it looks on the website in a stunning, peaceful location. We were so pleased and the cottage far exceeded our expectations. It is extremely well equipped and so cosy, a home from home and not compact, such lovely space. There are lovely views from all rooms, perfect if staying in on a rainy day. W...more
5 of us had a lovely Monday to Friday booking at 7 The Townhouses. Everything was as stated and the bathrooms were beautifully clean and the beds very comfortable. We had to ask our neighbour for a corkscrew, they had 3! We did have a problem with the shower over the bath but this was promptly sorted out. During one night the heating randomly came on! No idea why! Otherwise all good. We would come again. It was lovely to be able to walk to all the facilities and not use the car.
A great location and very homely comfortable and well equipped cottage. .
Maiden Moor is ideally, centrally situated in Keswick, close to the supermarket and bus links. This was our third stay in this property and hopefully won't be our last.
This was our fifth stay at Blencathra, and we have already booked for next year, it's a great place to stay.
Mountain View is a perfect place for a Lake District stay. The apartment itself is spotless and the bed is so comfy. The property has everything you could need. Location is prime and the parking space just seals the deal. There are a good few stairs to the property but this is made clear in the description and was not an issue for us. It could be a bit noisy at times due to its location but again this was not an issue for us. We have used Keswick Cottage’s before and we would not stay with anyone else. The only issue I can think of was the email I received said about a tablet in the prop...more
Well appointed and equipped house (too big to be a cottage) with modern clean decoration. Lovely large kitchen and dining area (the cooker is a cracker!) with separate utility room. Only one complaint-the TV could be bigger. We will be back!
Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Great to have reserved parking for two cars. Well furnished and décor in good condition. Nice kitchen/dining area and lounge. Handy cupboard for coats and shoes plus a separate utility room. Great location in the centre of Keswick surrounded by pubs, bars, restaurants, shops and close to the cinema, Hope Park and the lake. We slept very well on the firm mattress of the master bedroom. The other couple in one of the front bedrooms were a little disturbed by the music from the bar opposite, which is a lovely little bar by the way. I definitely recommend t...more
We had a lovely week in Blue Sky Cottage, plenty of space for a family of 4 and lots of nice touches in the decor. It's in a perfect location, close to the shops and park (and ice-cream!) and very convenient with off street parking. The owners have done a great job refurbishing the property, the kitchen extension was a nice sun trap whilst we were there and we ate outside most nights. The bedrooms are a good size and 2 bathrooms was an added bonus. Hopefully we will return in the not too distant future!
Lydias Cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have rented in the Lake District, great location for walking into town or up Latrigg, directly opposite a spar shop ( very handy ) , car parking space , and superb bosch appliances , beautiful crockery including a teapot and lovely furnishings. We were lucky to have a dry sunny week and were able to enjoy the outside seating at the front and dining area at the back . The only points lost in the above score are purely because we couldn't sleep for the heat, a summer duvet option would be perfect in the double room which does get very hot ...more
Our stay in Keswick was excellent with regards to the accommodation and it being so central to the town centre. Amazing shops, eating and drinking establishments! Would strongly recommend this place to visit.
Beautiful holiday home. Our 4th stay and always spotless, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The views from the property are fabulous with lovely walks from the doorstep. Thankyou for another wonderful break in Braithwaite. We love booking with an independent company, who answer the phone when you call and always go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Thankyou Keswick Cottages.
We've stayed in Bridge House 4 or 5 times now - it's a great house in the perfect location for us, with all the amenities we need. Having the huge garden is a brilliant bonus, perfect for the grandkids to play safely, parking is ideal, and the house itself is very spacious and comfortable. As always, it was immaculately clean (brilliant job by the cleaning staff) and had everything we needed. Keswick Cottages staff very helpful as always - thoroughly recommended :)
Coledale was easy to locate and on a very busy Saturday having allocated parking was brilliant, as it was throughout the week. Access to the property was easy to. The apartment was comfortable and cosy, and had all facilities we needed. It was close enough for us to walk into Keswick, and a great base for many walks too. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coledale, and in fact already have! And hopefully we will return next year too.
Farmers Retreat was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have been in for a very long time. We visit Keswick frequently. It was clean, comfortable with beautiful decor and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved its location on the edge of Fitz Park so the easy walk into town was made more special by walking through a pristine park. The children enjoyed their evening swims in the river Greta. It was idyllic. The cottage could do with a bit more storage space in the bedrooms and towel rails in the bathroom. We particularly appreciated the cloakroom downstairs. Being a 3 generation family wi...more
We loved staying in this cottage. The facilities were excellent and everything we needed for our stay. We particularly loved the uncomplicated modern shower. The bedroom was spacious with a large comfy bed to relax in after a busy day’s walking. Will definitely stay here again in the future. The staff at Keswick Cottages we’re very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome.
This is the the 5th time I’ve stayed at Skiddaw Skies (plus one stay in Ridgeways, the flat below)…. So that really says it all. It’s perfect in every way! From the gorgeous bathroom to the wonderful terrace. The kitchen is a ‘cooks kitchen’….weighing scales, casserole dishes, plenty of baking trays, measuring jugs etc. As a family we prefer to eat in, and the property has everything you need including ample crockery and glasses so that the dishwasher doesn’t need to be on every verse end! The only thing that I would consider to be an improvement would be the inclusion of an air fryer- but ...more
Great stay for a family of 8, the only gripe was the main sofa was difficult for the older members of our party to get in and out of. All the other facilities were top class.
Our 1 week stay at this property was fantastic. Close enough to Keswick (4 miles) for shops and supplies but far away enough to feel secluded. The property was one of several on the site but we were not overlooked or encroached upon in any way. The apartment was spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. 2 bedrooms (1 en-suite) were very spacious, comfortable with loads of storage. Both bathrooms had lovely hot and powerful showers and the kitchen was large and fully equipped. - Beware the secret cutlery drawer which is contained within the crockery drawer (haha). Living room was also v...more
This was my second one week stay at Appletree this year and we loved it just as much as the first. It’s such a great location. The house is spacious and has lovely views. Would stay again every year.
We had a lovely week staying in Swallows Lodge. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was plenty of space for five of us, plus a large dog. Having two bathrooms and toilets was useful, and there was a clothes airer as well as an outside washing line. We were extremely lucky with the weather as it was warm and dry for the entire week, so we didn’t need to use the heating. There were plenty of heaters so I imagine it would be warm in colder weather. The views over Derwentwater to the mountains on the far side of the lake are beautiful and can be enjoyed fro...more
This is our second time staying at Ellergill and it did not disappoint. Every room is perfect, clean with good facilities. The best way to describe it would be home from home.
We've had several stays now in Bridge House Apartments in Keswick. The cleanliness, condition etc of the property was, as always, superb. The only slight downside initially were 2 disappointed grandchildren - the trampoline had gone from the garden! Also, on a wider issue (and through no fault whatsoever of Keswick Cottages) there were several pieces of play equipment, including the zipwire, out of action in the play area of Fitz park. This area is normally teeming with families and kids, but was very quiet this year. As this is probably the busiest time of year, and I realise that there woul...more
We stopped for a month to Friday break at the tops in Keswick. The location of the apartment is excellent, but a little bit noisy late at night and first thing in the morning. The apartment has everything you could need for a short break away. A couple of points to mention. The slats on the King size bed all loose and therefore creek at night when you move. The central heating is permanently and there was no way to adjust the temperature. At sometimes it felt like we were in a sauna!! Overall, a brilliant stay in a fantastic location. We will look to return in the future.
This is a very well equipped bungalow in a beautiful location. Wonderful views of hills from every window, in a very quiet and secluded location, whilst only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Keswick. The bungalow is very well furnished with all mod cons and lots of small extras. The garden is fully enclosed, and perfectly safe for well trained dogs to run around. As others have commented, don’t let the nearby waterworks put you off. You can’t see it or hear it from the bungalow or gardens, and there were no smells at all from it. We certainly hope to return and would highly recommend th...more
This is the second time we have stayed at this accomodation. The rooms are spacious and clean wilh lots of storage space. The kitchen in particular has lots of storage space. The accomodation is in a convenient place near the centre of town for easy access to supermarket and restaurants, The complex has lots of outdoor tables which unfortunately due to the weather we couldn't use. The property has a separate utiluty room which is great for storing walking boots and for drying wet weather gear. When choosing a property we always select ones that have parking spaces included. This one had two wh...more
5 the Townhouses was perfect for our 5 night stay; comfortably housing 5 people (including 3 teenagers) and one dog. The comfortable first floor living room gave us glimpse views of the surrounding hills and the large table in the well-equipped kitchen was great for family games. Would definitely recommend.
Brilliant cottage, excellent situation. The only downside is that the tennis court has been so neglected. This could be a fantastic facility if it was properly maintained, and it wouldn't take so much work.
Great spot, so good having the garage as dedicated parking. Super close to all the facilities of the town and loved how quiet it was.
Excellent refurbishment, well appointed and good location with parking for one car. Great house in a quiet part of the Lakes with good access to the hills on foot so no need to drive. Two good pubs in the village and a good village shop with the bare essentials and lots of treats.
This was our first time staying at Fairbank and the first time we have booked with Keswick Cottages. We were quite happy with both and the welcome box of tea and biscuits was a lovely gesture! Fairbank was in an ideal location for our needs...being so close to accessing Fitz Park via the bridge opposite the property was lovely. We were wary about the parking permit having never used one before when staying at a cottage, but we had no trouble at all with this. We were able to park in Otley Road car park which was just a stones throw away from the cottage. Fairbank was very comfortable and we wo...more
Great cottage, spacious, 2 bathrooms, well kitted out. Amazing setting, walks from your doorstep, handy for Keswick, Derwent Water, Buttermere, etc.
We had a lovely few days at Lord’s Seat. Having never visited the Lake District before the property was a great location and allowed us to have a very convenient base for visiting a number of local areas. Being near to Keswick, but not within it, makes it a great location. Being able to just walk out from the property onto footpaths was an extra bonus. Lord’s Seat was well equipped, especially the kitchen, and everything was clean and welcoming when we arrived. There were lots of little touches that make it homely and inviting. Would definitely visit again and would recommend.
This was our second stay a Greta Bank. The flat was clean and had everything you need for a great stay. We traveled with my elderly mum this time and the flat is perfectly positioned for all that Keswick has to offer. The weather was good so it was an added bonus of being able to open the French doors and enjoy the small garden. The only tiny let down were the sofas. They are getting a little uncomfortable, so we were pleased when we found the bolster cushions that had been left.
We had a lovely stay at Bridge Mews with our dog, would definitely recommend. Lovely site and great location, just a short walk to the centre of Keswick.
Great location in Braithwaite and well appointed cottage with nice, shiny bath (welcome after a day on the fells) and lots of useful equipment for home cooking - would have been great to have had a few more baking trays to put multiple roasting items in the oven but the air fryer worked really well, so maybe not needed for most people. Nice and well-cleaned with plenty of boot and waterproofs drying space in the utility room, loads of coat hanging hooks too - really useful and surprisingly overlooked in many other cottages in which we have stayed over the years. Ambient background lighting f...more
We booked a week at the start of September at Jasmine Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was spotless and had everything that we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location was great, only a 15min walk into Keswick, a tea room/restaurant near enough next door and a pub just a couple of mins up the road. A 20min walk in the other direction takes you along to the next village where there's another couple of pubs - we ate at the Royal Oak and the food was great and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere. Overall we couldn't fault either the cottage or the location - we would...more
We stayed in peak season and had an extraordinary week of weather. Who's ever heard of a week in the lake district without rain! Finding the property was a bit of a challenge. The narrow streets in that quarter of Keswick are a bit of a challenge to navigate if you've never been there before, but as long as you don't mind going round in a couple of circles it is fine. Parking overall is definitely an issue in peak season. There are a huge amount of guest houses, guest cottages and B&B's in that area, and as such finding a parking space near the house was tricky. I imagine, with it only bein...more
That garden…. If you have dry weather it just stunning. Lovely stay at Greta House, great location. The back bedroom view is amazing. Parking not the best but we could always get a space. Keswick cottages always on hand with any queries. The only downside for us would be pillows… only because I prefer them firmer. Also in the warmer weather a fan in the bedrooms would be a great addition.
Our first stay in Millside Cottage but certainly won’t be our last. We usually stay in Keswick but have fallen in love with Braithwaite. The cottage is located perfectly, just a couple doors away from the village shop which is ideal. Straight out the door & on to the fells without any need to drive. And just a short drive from Whinlatter which is ideal for walks & mountain bike rides. We found it to be very clean, comfortable, well equipped with parking big enough for a car and a van. The cottage was clean with a nice little secure garden which was perfect to sit in after a day on the fell...more
An exceptionally well presented holiday let that is worth every penny. Strongly recommended to anyone looking to stay in the area
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Brilliant location near to the park and easy walk into Keswick also nice to have a parking space. The flat was cleaned to a very high standard and had everything we needed for our stay ,the bed pillows and duvet where good quality and very comfy, we enjoyed our stay
Fabulous cottage so close to both the town and superb walks. Cottage is clean and well appointed. The dog treats were very appreciated by the boys! Bedrooms clean and comfy. Keswick cottages highly recommended.
The positives: Tawny Cottage provides a lovely base with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for the excellent shower, and a decent sized lounge. It was an easy 20-25 minute walk to the centre of Keswick. The negatives: limited workspace in the kitchen and, although there were two parking spaces (a real bonus), the access to them was slightly challenging when driving a large car and required some very careful manoeuvring. The outside space seemed a little 'sad' compared to the interior - which has been redone relatively recently - the small garden area was unusable as it was so overgrown. ...more
Our 4th stay in Quaver Cottage and as brilliant as always. Very comfortable, well equipped and cleaned to a very high standard. The cottage is in an excellent location, very quiet yet a short walk to the town centre and all the amenities. The only downside was having to leave...
Iv stayed at Tithe Cottage numerous times now over the past 8 years and always found it comfortable clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable after a day on the fells. The cottage has everything you need with the bonus of free parking at the cottage saving you walking with your luggage. Iv currently further stays already booked.
Great value for money apartment with everything we needed on our doorstep Would have like a tv in the bedroom though
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Glenderamackin Cottage.Yes it is outside of Keswick but a short walk through the woods and onto the old railway track. Excellent bus service from Keswick to return home. Very impressed with the starter pack contains the necessary goods. One or two problems with the internet service and the television but a kind member of staff from Keswick Cottages arrived and sorted the issue. Overall there is everything you need and good walking from your doorstep. Would recommend access to the property earlier than 4pm. However, would certainly use this property and company in...more
This is the 2 nd time we have stayed at Wordsworth house and it suits our family needs very well, very well equipped house great location close to town and park for dog walking, we had 2 lake days where we took out paddle boards and Kyack, weather could have been kinder but we made the best of weather on good days
Our fifth stay at Apartment 3 and we remain very happy with the apartment which is always clean and well maintained. Its a great location in the centre of Keswick and parking for two cars is a major bonus. Our only (slight) negative is the outside tables and chairs which are looking jaded and need replacing Service from Keswick Cottages is excellent and very helpful, highly recommend the company
Our third stay at Elm Court and would definitely come back again. Perfect location to explore Keswick and surrounding area. Only suggestion is probably needs a new vacuum cleaner.
This is a lovely cottage, clean and tastefully decorated, perfect for a family break with dogs. The cottage is in a quiet location just a 15 minute walk from Keswick, has allocated parking and a small garden to let the dogs out. We have stayed here many times and undoubtedly will stay again!
The Ridgeway is in a great location, lots of walks from the door and perfect for town. The accommodation was very well equipped on particular the kitchen. There is everything you need for preparing and cooking meals. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable, the best we have come across in a long time. It was also nice to have a bathroom on each floor. It was lovely to have somewhere to sit out, as the weather was so nice.
We had a lovely stay at Rose Bank Cottage, even though the wood burner was not working. The village is lovely, staff in the shop and the Royal Oak pub were very friendly, and the food was good. The views from the cottage were fantastic. In the kitchen you could do with a fish slice, but everything else was very good.We will definitely be back.Thankyou.
Lovely little cottage in Braithwaite. I know village well & was up visiting parents. Very tastefully decorated. Pretty little garden with a pull out washing line. Nice little pack left for my dog including a toy. I will come again. Parking is an issue especially as now an air bnb opposite. Says in blurb parking in front of property but it was never free. Plus sometimes tricky getting through gate as cars are parked so close. I luckily had parking at my parents who live up the road but would have annoyed me if this wasn’t the case. There is other parking in village so not sure why peopl...more
Excellent experience last year so decided to spend another week at the same cottage. The location is prime as are the transport links if you don’t fancy driving. Excellent walks nearby and fabulous places to eat. Would recommend Chinty’s for breakfast/ brunch followed by a walk to Castle Head for an amazing view.
Very central position. Added bonus was parking outside property. Flat is quite small but adequate for a short break as a couple with small dog. Only real gripe we were unable to use one wardrobe as vacuum cleaner was stored in wardrobe.
Pinecroft is a lovely property, beautifully furnished & very comfortable. Excellent location for walking into Keswick. Would definitely book again
The positives were good location with allocated parking. The tv, wi fi and heating were very good. Unfortunately there were negatives. There was a drain smell in the bathroom despite two air fresheners being in there. The towels in the bathroom were very old, worn and hard. Not nice to use. Grouting on bathroom floor was dirty. There was one rubbish bag in the bin in the kitchen and no others provided. Overall cleaning of the apartment was patchy with quite a bit of dust overlooked in the cleaning. The property was advertised as suitable for four people. The front bedroom was far...more
Weekend spent with my family and young child for my 30th birthday weekend. I can’t recommend Keswick Cottages enough, from the minute I booked they were welcoming, gave clear instructions and couldn’t do enough for us. The process of checking in was brilliant with the parking available and the location of the house itself outstanding in the heart of Keswick walking distance to the High Street. The house itself was very clean and perfect for the weekend we wanted. All my family loved it and we will definitely be booking again in the future
Stayed for 2 nights in Shelley Cottage. Great location and Keswick is my favourite place in the lakes. We had great weather and the garden was lovely with the summer house that is a real sun trap. Views from the Cottage are stunning.
Loved our family stay at Crandy Nook. Access to property is round back of building and up metal stairs. Living area on top floor with lovely views and well equipped kitchen . Location brilliant for centre of Keswick.
Cottage was fine, pretty much as we expected. A couple of little niggles you may wish to take on board. The bathroom lock is very basic and very sharp and stiff. I hurt my fingers several times when using it. Also, the bath is very difficult to get out of. Very high with nothing to hold onto. None of our party are old or infirm but we found it difficult, so anyone less steady would certainly struggle. Perhaps a handle on the side of the bath would help. Also, the frying pan - impossible to cook with it. Everything stuck straight away. I appreciate owners dont want to put top quality things in ...more
Fellseekers cottage is in a great location. car parking is a bit tight but manageable. We really enjoyed our stay. Thankyou.
Enjoyed our break at stickel tarn the apartment is in a great location with the benefit of an allocated parking bay.The beds are very comfortable and the living room is bright and airy and the views of the hills are great. The only downside to the apartment is iff you are old and not very good with stairs it wouldn’t be for you.The smart tv was good as Netflix and prime were available to use when chilling out after a hard days walking. We have over the years stayed in many cottages and apartments in Keswick and would rate this as one of the best.
The location was ideal and it was of reasonable value for the 5 of us. I love sitting out on the balcony in an evening. This is the 4th year we have stayed in the cottage because we have always been satisfied up until now. Sadly the house is in need of some TLC. The tiles in the bathroom were held on with duct tape, not ideal, and I would say that it needs a deep clean. Skirting boards were covered in dust, the small chest of drawers in the single room had juice spilled down the front and was sticky and the inside of the front living room window was covered in fingerprints. The drawers’ inter...more
As good (and it was very good) as the first time we stayed here - 14 years of annual visits. Long may it continue.
A lovely cottage in a handy location close to the town centre. Parking 300 yards away so difficult to unload and load up as double yellow lines outside. Internally very nice and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. All in all highly recommended but be aware of the parking issue.
I booked Sam's Cottage for a week long trip to Lake District. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We loved the kitchen and the sofa. The presence of good size fridge, washing machine and dishwasher made the stay easy for us. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had a simple elegant decoration. I was pleased with the number of hangars inside the wardrobe ( some hotel/apartments do not even care to keep them). The best thing about this small peaceful property is its location. Derwentwater, Keswick town centre, restaurants, pubs, groceries (Premier, Coop and Booths) are all within t...more
The position of the house was brilliant for access to Keswick and the Northern Fells. It's situated in a quiet private road near the Farmers Arms, a warm and friendly pub with good grub!! I was a little disappointed though on arrival as the and itpet friendly policy of the owners was obviously evident as soon as I opened the door. Although the cleaners had done a great job, there is little they could of done to mask the scent of a pet or two, I suspect, and it took a considerable airing and a fair amount of masking with scented air-fresheners and copious amounts of odour-fighting sprays to...more
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Very nice cottage, excellent location for local walks and village amenities. Pub opposite very good for meals and drinks.
I doubt there can be many other properties that can match this location! Absolutely stunning. Great walks right from the house, Catbells, Newlands round etc.. once the round the lake walkers have disappeared for the day the silence is incredible. The house has really comfortable beds and good communal space. The garden has stunning views and great spot for a post walk beer.
