Had a wonderful week staying at Mill House through Keswick Cottages. Fabulous location in the village. House very well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed playing pool too. Just loved waking up to the views out the windows. Would thoroughly recommend the house and the Keswick Cottages company. Thank you.
I stayed with my two sisters for 4 nights in September. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious. All 3 double bedrooms were large. Having two bathrooms (plus an additional toilet!) was great. The furnishings and decor were lovely, giving the house a cosy, welcoming feel. It was much better equipped than many holiday lets, in terms of crockery, kitchen equipment, books, sound system etc. The glimpses from upper windows of Skiddaw and other hills was nice. The backyard is quite functional, but was pleasant for sitting out in the sun in the evening. It's just a 5 minute walk to the tow...more
Excellent property, well maintained, pristine in decor and cleanliness. This is the second time we have stayed at the property and we have enjoyed it once again.
Our 4th stay in this property and we have already booked for next year. Always clean, warm and well equipped with some welcome new improvements this year.
5 of us had a lovely Monday to Friday booking at 7 The Townhouses. Everything was as stated and the bathrooms were beautifully clean and the beds very comfortable. We had to ask our neighbour for a corkscrew, they had 3! We did have a problem with the shower over the bath but this was promptly sorted out. During one night the heating randomly came on! No idea why! Otherwise all good. We would come again. It was lovely to be able to walk to all the facilities and not use the car.
We have been visiting Keswick for over forty years and have used numerous holiday lets over this period. Blue Skies like all Keswick Cottages is first class. A very warm and comfortable accommodation ideal for a party of four with all facilities to cater for this number. A downstairs toilet is a bonus as is on site parking. Keswick is very busy but has many facilities to cover all tastes and on site parking is wonderful being so near to the town centre and to the start of many excellent picturesque walks whether they be long or just short strolls. We can highly recommend this property give it ...more
The house is beautiful & everyone walked away wanting all of the features in the kitchen! 8 of us stayed, beds were really comfortable, heating was comfortable, hot tub & scenery amazing. Little pub nearby for Sunday lunch was lovely. Small niggles - the table doesn’t comfortably fit 8 people on (which is such a shame as meals with those views were amazing!) and everyone can’t really watch the TV together in the living room as the tv is behind one of the sofas & comfortably only fits 6-7 people (so we didn’t spend much time in the living room). Could do with a little bit of maintenance...more
A great location and very homely comfortable and well equipped cottage. .
Super apartment in a central location. Amazing views. Fully equipped and very clean, comfortable beds also. Would definitely book again and completely recommend (unless you have a problem with stairs as on the top floor).
Our second stay at Maiden Moor and when visiting Keswick again, we will stay there. Everything you need for self catering and very cosy. Another benefit, walking distance into Keswick.
We enjoyed another lovely stay at Deer Close Cottage. It really is perfect in every way - comfortable, clean and great location. This time we saw a deer and a few red squirrels in the garden. We can't wait to return in a few months!
A lovely bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac, with good views out to Skiddaw, Latrigg and Blencathra. A pleasant 10 minute walk from the town centre.
A great cottage in a lovely location for exploring Keswick and The Lakes. Really comfortable and well equipped.
Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Great to have reserved parking for two cars. Well furnished and décor in good condition. Nice kitchen/dining area and lounge. Handy cupboard for coats and shoes plus a separate utility room. Great location in the centre of Keswick surrounded by pubs, bars, restaurants, shops and close to the cinema, Hope Park and the lake. We slept very well on the firm mattress of the master bedroom. The other couple in one of the front bedrooms were a little disturbed by the music from the bar opposite, which is a lovely little bar by the way. I definitely recommend t...more
Brilliant as always Cottage always spotless bright and warm Excellent service from Keswick Cottages Will be back
We had the best holiday here we have stayed in many houses around the Keswick area and this has to be the best very clean spacious and in a great location. Most of all the beds were like sleeping on clouds We will definitely be back
Just spent 4 nights at The Tops in Keswick. The accommodation is excellent, it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, has everything you need for your stay. It is really handy for pubs, restaurants and shops and just a short walk to Derwentwater. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Keswick.
We had a short holiday here in November, and were very pleased with the flat. I can't add much to the other positive reviews, except for two points I would like to mention. First, we greatly appreciated having a spare set of keys to the flat. It's amazing how many self-catering hosts fail to provide these, which makes it very difficult for each of us to come and go separately. So full marks to Keswick Cottages for providing these. And we also appreciated the small "welcome pack" - tea, milk, biscuits, etc. - which enabled us to brew up as soon as we arrived. We found the flat clean, tidy ...more
A return visit for our small family of seven. An excellent house with very good amenities, very cosy and comfortable, who needs good weather! Central Keswick is very close by as are the two local supermarkets.
Beautiful holiday home. Our 4th stay and always spotless, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The views from the property are fabulous with lovely walks from the doorstep. Thankyou for another wonderful break in Braithwaite. We love booking with an independent company, who answer the phone when you call and always go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Thankyou Keswick Cottages.
Farmers Retreat was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have been in for a very long time. We visit Keswick frequently. It was clean, comfortable with beautiful decor and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved its location on the edge of Fitz Park so the easy walk into town was made more special by walking through a pristine park. The children enjoyed their evening swims in the river Greta. It was idyllic. The cottage could do with a bit more storage space in the bedrooms and towel rails in the bathroom. We particularly appreciated the cloakroom downstairs. Being a 3 generation family wi...more
Lovely stay as always . Excellent views ,central position ,kitchen well equipped with all you need for yoir stay . Lovely roll top bath for long soaks after hilltop walks . Huge comfy bed in main ensuite bedroom . This is our 6th or 7th stay . We will be back . Thankyou Keswick cottages .
Great no issues at all for us but stairs a bit steep if you had limited mobility great location and very comfortable
Great stay for a family of 8, the only gripe was the main sofa was difficult for the older members of our party to get in and out of. All the other facilities were top class.
Lydia's River Cottage provided an excellent base in Keswick as it is easy to reach from the A66, quiet, cosy, very clean, well appointed and located by the Greta River. It has the convenience of off-road parking, and is an easy 15 minute walk into Keswick town centre, though there is a decent pub literally over the road from the cottage. I would happily return to Lydia's River Cottage and probably will.
This is another visit to APPLETREE. Its like home from home!! A quiet location and an enclosed garden for the dog. We have already booked for next year as it is so perfect.
Had an amazing time staying in Keswick for a long weekend with friends. The property is top class with really good views. Would highly recommend if your heading to the lake district. Will definitely return next year.
The apartment is very well located, just a short minute's walk from shops and amenities, with the added bonus of 2 allocated car parking spaces. The apartment is very spacious, very well appointed and beautifully clean. Our only issue was with the traffic noise from the main road right outside the 2 front bedrooms which meant sleep was at a premium, and there was very little soundproofing from the apartment above. Shame because it really is a great apartment.
Beautiful accommodation well kept, spotless with everything catered for. Magnificent view over Derwentwater. Could not be bettered. Keswick Cottages a fantastic business to deal with too.
This place is in a lovely location and is a decent size property with plenty of parking. The beds are really comfy and showers nice and powerful. Lovely soft sheets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. Great views from front and back of the property too. It would be even better if it had a more comfortable sofa, bigger TV and decent size dining room table (it's tiny for 4 people).
What a beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean. So very well furnished, large kitchen stocked so that you didn't run out of crockery before you wanted to put dishwasher on. So many places have just enough plates, cups cutlery for one sitting! A wonderfully comfortable cottage just 5 minutes walk from town centre. Garden was perfect for our two dogs and great to clean them up in the utility room after a wet walk. A credit to the owners. Great to have all info about cottage online. Thank you. We will be back.
Great apartment, very well equipped and in a good location. We have been staying at Bridgehouse Apartments for several years and have never been disappointed.
3 night break in November and Alison's View did not disappoint. Fab little cottage and we will probably come back at some time. Pro's: Great location, only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Keswick centre. The garage is a huge bonus as parking in Keswick centre is becoming harder every year. Parked up and never used the car until it was time to come home. Cottage is very well equipped and there are plenty of films and games to keep people entertained Con's: The fridge door needs some attention, it stays open slightly as the covering door is no...more
5 the Townhouses was perfect for our 5 night stay; comfortably housing 5 people (including 3 teenagers) and one dog. The comfortable first floor living room gave us glimpse views of the surrounding hills and the large table in the well-equipped kitchen was great for family games. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely super, immaculately maintained apartment. We had been once before and had no hesitation about going again. We went in early November both times, and found it warm, comfortable - especially the large bed! - and very well equipped. It is ideally situated, being very convenient for the town centre and only a few minutes walk to both the excellent Booth's supermarket and the bus station. While we were there the central heating boiler failed one day, which we reported right away, and in just over half an hour an engineer arrived to attend to it. Brilliant service from a friendly, he...more
Fairbank is a lovely property with a fantastic location for Keswick and the Lakes. This is our 5th visit to the property and we always enjoy our stay there. Keswick cottages are a superb local company which helped us to find Fairbank. Thanks. Barbara
The cottage is beautiful and really well appointed. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The garden is beautiful and we’d like stay again in the spring or summer months to appreciate it more! It’s only a short walk into Keswick and bus stops are right near by. We’d definitely stay here again.
Wonderful break in Jasmine Cottage at Portinscale. This was our 2nd year here, and hopefully we'll be back soon. Keswick Cottages always communicate well, can't recommend enough.
Great location in Braithwaite and well appointed cottage with nice, shiny bath (welcome after a day on the fells) and lots of useful equipment for home cooking - would have been great to have had a few more baking trays to put multiple roasting items in the oven but the air fryer worked really well, so maybe not needed for most people. Nice and well-cleaned with plenty of boot and waterproofs drying space in the utility room, loads of coat hanging hooks too - really useful and surprisingly overlooked in many other cottages in which we have stayed over the years. Ambient background lighting f...more
We loved our stay at Rock Lynn, the cottage was heated for our arrival and was spotless. Many thanks for the fresh milk and biscuits greatly appreciated. Kitchen was well appointed, everything you needed to make a meal. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Both en-suites had good hot showers. The view from the front was amazing looking out onto the surrounding hills which had a covering of snow, we couldn’t have planned it better. We had the use of the hot tub which was wonderful even although it was below zero outside. If I could suggest a mat at the back door in the utility room? W...more
Lovely cottage but wouldn’t think it is suitable for 4 Adults especially 2nd Bedroom A few tweaks needed Log burner needs protected glove for opening door when alight and maybe tongs when putting logs on fire Not much storage for food
We stayed at Greta Howe in mid November for my dad’s 60th. The place is beautifully decorated and elevated compared to others we looked at. Just a true little gem. The facilities were good and the fire really helped warm the big main room up especially after a day of walking. The big bedroom did take a while to warm up so we left the door to the main room open to get heat into it. We personally found the beds slightly uncomfortable but that’s just our preference. One thing I particularly loved about the experience was the digital guide that was provided with the stay which had everything y...more
The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. We struggled with the hob as it clicks off every time we put the pan on and hadnt used that sort of hob before so took a while to figure it out. It was a lovely place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay there.
Excellent location for the town and easy access to the fells. Very comfortable, well-equipped and warm property. Highly recommended.
Excellent cottage very comfortable every thing you need is there car parking space is a bit tight I would definitely recommend staying
A very warm and comfortable cottage in a great Location. It had everything we needed, except for toiletries, bring your own soap shower gel and shampoo.
Easy to book a last minute getaway over the phone. Shortly after payment we received an email confirming the booking and providing full details of the property, key safe number, location etc. The property is very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Parking space in Keswick a great bonus, and location is very central, just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit the lake District, and would recommend the property to family and friends. Thank you.
In a great location, Skiddaw View was warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back for the views alone!
We had a very comfortable stay from Monday to Friday at Acorn cottage despite some rather wet weather. The cottage was nicely decorated and furnished and well equipped. It is well positioned to walk in to Keswick to take advantage of Keswick's attractions.
We try to visit Keswick every year and Quaver Cottage is our favourite stay and always book through Keswick Cottages. We have had no issues over the last 8 years or so. No hesitation in recommending the above.
Beautiful apartment, lovely furnishings and great central location. Our only complaint was we couldn’t get the oven to work, it definitely needs replacing as seems a bit old.
The house is in a great location, out the way of the hustle and bustle but only about an 8 minute walk into the center of Keswick. The Lakes through everything at us weather wise but the house was a warm and inviting place to come back too. It is very well equipped with everything you need and generally got parked right outside. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
This was my fifth or sixth stay at Tithe Cottage, and it continues to be absolutely perfect every time. The cottage is always spotless, warm, and beautifully maintained – a real home-from-home in the heart of Keswick. The peaceful location, just a short walk from the town centre, with easy access to walks, shops, and restaurants. Whether I’m heading out for a hike or just relaxing, Tithe Cottage has everything we need. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit
The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.
We’ve stayed in Apartment 1 twice and now thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Apartment 3. The property is at the highest level that you can expect from a holiday let. It is a luxury apartment, tastefully furnished with everything you could need to enjoy a fantastic break in Keswick. It is centrally located in a lovely quiet courtyard and Apartment 3 has two allocated parking spaces. We hope to get booked again for next year.
We had a lovely week staying at the Ridgeway. Very comfortable, well equipped accommodation with parking outside the property.
Lovely cottage and location . We ended up staying an extra night as no one was booked in . Only minor fault was stuff in the welcome pack and cupboards was out well of date so we never got to use the coffee machine . Certainly didn’t spoil our holiday .
Had an excellent stay at Elm Cottage. A good price, well situated, very clean and well appointed. Handy parking spot right outside, quiet area, very close to the shops / pubs etc. Will definitely stay again.
Barf Cottage is a cosy, well equipped and comfortable cottage from where to explore the Lake District and not far from the centre of Keswick.. It has designated parking for a car which is always desirable. Have stayed many times and have already booked for 2026
Lovely cottage, easy walking into village for food and buses. Lots of lovely walks from the door. Parking for two cars, tight but ok. Problem with log burner but sorted quickly. Nice garden with views.
We loved Isabel cottage. We visit Keswick several times a year so normally look out for a more economical stay but it was worth spending a bit more for the luxury. The team at Keswick Cottages were very helpful and super efficient with sending the info re booking.
wonderful location with cozy pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Hikes walks and bike trails a stones throw away. The cottage was beautiful and provided everything you could need to have a night in after a day of adventure.
This was our second stay at Gretaside and I have to say that the weather blessed us yet again ! The central location was very suitable to us as we have a dog, just around the corner from the park for morning and evening walks. Everything in the apartment was clean and little extra's left for us in the new updated kitchen was very welcome.
Nice flat , we enjoyed it have used Keswick cottages many times over the years , and never had any problems
This was our 5th time st Pine Croft. We love the place as it's in a perfect location, very nice accommodation, specious cosy and with plenty of comforts. The only cosntractive feedback is the garden could do with some genes at the drive to secure the dogs from running in out. The bedroom wasn't hoovered properly and it could do with a bigger duvet. Other than that we love the place.
Weekend spent with my family and young child for my 30th birthday weekend. I can’t recommend Keswick Cottages enough, from the minute I booked they were welcoming, gave clear instructions and couldn’t do enough for us. The process of checking in was brilliant with the parking available and the location of the house itself outstanding in the heart of Keswick walking distance to the High Street. The house itself was very clean and perfect for the weekend we wanted. All my family loved it and we will definitely be booking again in the future
Second time at the property and every bit as good as the first. Excellent area for taking off boots and walking gear, the property is comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. A central location accessed from the rear with free parking (note this is a 2 minute walk but we were able to unload/load on our arrival/departure outside). Beds were great, slept so well! Having a bathroom per 2 bedrooms on same floor as them is a plus. The only negatives are the flights of stairs, which could be an issue for some, and a general smell of food from the cafe below which permeated to ...more
We very much enjoyed our stay in Byways, good location, easy walk into town and on road parking not a problem. We would definitely stay again. Always try and book with Keswick Cottages if we can.
Fellseekers cottage is in a great location. car parking is a bit tight but manageable. We really enjoyed our stay. Thankyou.
The location was ideal and it was of reasonable value for the 5 of us. I love sitting out on the balcony in an evening. This is the 4th year we have stayed in the cottage because we have always been satisfied up until now. Sadly the house is in need of some TLC. The tiles in the bathroom were held on with duct tape, not ideal, and I would say that it needs a deep clean. Skirting boards were covered in dust, the small chest of drawers in the single room had juice spilled down the front and was sticky and the inside of the front living room window was covered in fingerprints. The drawers’ inter...more
Enjoyed our break at stickel tarn the apartment is in a great location with the benefit of an allocated parking bay.The beds are very comfortable and the living room is bright and airy and the views of the hills are great. The only downside to the apartment is iff you are old and not very good with stairs it wouldn’t be for you.The smart tv was good as Netflix and prime were available to use when chilling out after a hard days walking. We have over the years stayed in many cottages and apartments in Keswick and would rate this as one of the best.
Comfortable and ok, but the main bedroom had a damp smell on arrival and we bought scented candles to improve. No local or welcome information on arrival other than on the web site. Good heating. Cosy. Dog friendly. Garden a bit overgrown. Characterful but dark and no outward views or outlook. On a busy road, itself not a problem so long as dog on lead outside front door but the access on the busy corner is pretty hairy and easily missed when arriving first time! Satisfactory but wouldn't go again. Kitchen ok but small. Not enough dish washer tablets.
We really like this cottage, it is dog friendly and has a real fire. We have stayed three times already so it feels like a second home. We love Keswick and the people there. We will book again next year.
A lovely cottage in a handy location close to the town centre. Parking 300 yards away so difficult to unload and load up as double yellow lines outside. Internally very nice and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. All in all highly recommended but be aware of the parking issue.
We are an active 70+ couple who have visited the Lakes for 30+ years. On arrival the keysafe proved too difficult to open and after 30 mins of fruitless attempts a call to the office for assistance in gaining access was necessary. The issue was resolved quickly in a most friendly manner. Once inside a couple of minor maintenance issues were identified (these things happen) but again, these were soon resolved. Sams Cottage is well equipped for a comfortable self-catering break for up to 3 people, disabled or otherwise. Access to Bakers Yard is down a short but very narrow lane with high w...more
The house is kept beautifully clean. Views from it are mind blowingly fabulous. Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. Other than that, just a beautiful home from home and an incredible team at Keswick Cottages!! If you’re thinking about booking with them…just book…right now!!
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Last minute booking - staff at Keswick Cottages were really helpful and the owners brilliantly responsive. Very quiet residential location, great views from the back and only a bit less than a 10 mins walk into Keswick. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom. Easy to control the temperature in the property (not always the case on rentals). Well equipped kitchen. TVs in both the lounge and main bedroom were very good. The sofa in the lounge wasn’t the most practical or comfortable compared to other places where we’ve stayed. Hot tub was a real bonus. Would we stay again… yes!
Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. The water levels were incredibly high when we arrived so couldn't make the best use of the launches as we have in the past but enjoyed a trip later in the week. The footpath that runs adjacent to the garden is really only busy around lunchtime as it is midway round the lake...more
Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring. I was also told the owner was very tight and wouldn’t spent money on the plac...more
