We have stayed in many places in Keswick and surrounding areas but Catbells definitely tops them all! A fabulous apartment with a beautifully thought out interior and views from every window. We loved it! Super comfy and warm, with everything you need, plus allocated parking. We would love to stay here again. Thank you Keswick Cottages.
Two Chimneys cottage was absolutely perfect, it had everything we needed, with extras. Lovely welcome gifts for us and the dog. It was immaculate and very cosy and comfortable. Location was excellent, walks near by and a short 10 miles n stroll into town. Thank you and we will definitely stay again when visiting Keswick.
The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival.It was very well equipped for 6 guests.The facilities in the cottage and in the village were everything we could have wanted.One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.
I stayed with my two sisters for 4 nights in September. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious. All 3 double bedrooms were large. Having two bathrooms (plus an additional toilet!) was great.The furnishings and decor were lovely, giving the house a cosy, welcoming feel. It was much better equipped than many holiday lets, in terms of crockery, kitchen equipment, books, sound system etc. The glimpses from upper windows of Skiddaw and other hills was nice. Couldn't fault the apartment, everything was super. Very comfortable, lovely and warm and imaculate. The location is great with a Booths on your doorstep. Very near to the town centre but in a peaceful location. Friendly pheasants! Hopefully we shall return.
I really don’t want to write a review because then everyone else will know about this place , Fantastic , immaculate , really well equipped house , I was a bit worried not having a garden with 3 dogs but the park being 30 seconds walk away made up for that. Parking was free and a minutes walk away as was the town centre. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher , I let Keswick cottages know , more for the next guest and they had someone there within the hour to fix it . Can’t recommend the Eyrie or Keswick cottages enough , We will be back
We had a relaxing week in this charming, peaceful property. Even though the weather was snowy and bitterly cold we were cosy and slept very well in the very comfortable bed. Lovely walks along the lake from the door. Close to Keswick yet rural, with splendid views from the kitchen/dining area and lounge.
Blue Sky cottage was fantastic, great location, bonus of a parking space, secure garden and very spacious for our party of 4 adults and a baby. The location cannot be beaten really and the cottage had everything that was needed to eat in too. The service form the Keswick Cottages staff was brilliant, very helpful all the way from start to finish.
Our 6th stay at this warm , comfortable home from home . If we could award 6 stars we would . Kept in pristine condition by the super star housekeeper . Owned by kind , generous people who seem to really care about the wellbeing of their guests. Sarah and the team at Keswick Cottages manage the property in an efficient and friendly way. The house is beautiful & everyone walked away wanting all of the features in the kitchen! 8 of us stayed, beds were really comfortable, heating was comfortable, hot tub & scenery amazing. Little pub nearby for Sunday lunch was lovely. Small niggles - the table doesn’t comfortably fit 8 people on (which is such a shame as meals with those views were amazing!) and everyone can’t really watch the TV together in the living room as the tv is behind one of the sofas & comfortably only fits 6-7 people (so we didn’t spend much time in the living room). Super apartment in a central location. Amazing views. Fully equipped and very clean, comfortable beds also. Would definitely book again and completely recommend (unless you have a problem with stairs as on the top floor).
The bungalow is well located with stunning views front and back and just 15 minutes walk into town. Very cosy and warm, there was ample hot water. The beds were very comfortable, with nice linen and a good supply of towels. There's a lovely garden to the rear of the property.
Great cottage and fantastic location. Super clean and comfortable. Parking for 2 cars is very easy. Booths is very handy ! The only thing I was surprised by is the absence of a freezer in the otherwise extremely well kitted out kitchen. There is a small freezer section in top of fridge but this is only really suitable for ice cube trays. Other than this it was perfect.
Lovely cottage, every thing done very well and to high spec. Comfortable and well thought out. Only quibbles are having to adjust the heating constantly if you're not out all day ( not likely in February) and would have liked instructions on how the locks work! It was a bit hit and miss to get it right, not ideal if there was an emergency.
Second time staying at this Modern comfortable cottage and it was 1st class again . Warm spacious downstairs area with a fantastic utility room , bedrooms are cosy and the beds are excellent. 2 good sized bathrooms, perfect location in the centre of the town , what more could you ask for . Parking is a little tight if you have a big car so we brought the small car this time . You can get a large car in the space but it is tight but really not an issue . Already booked for next year . We have stayed in many places in Keswick and this wonderful flat is certainly up there with the best. The location for an out of season visit is superb. Very close to all of the local amenities with beautiful views towards the fells from the upstairs rooms. The flat was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and always warm. An idea location with options for many walks straight from the door or only a few minutes drive away. We or our family have used this apartment on several occasions and everytime we have been delighted with the location, facilities, cleanliness and the little touches that make you feel welcome on arrival. Keswick Cottages always achieve the highest standards in all their properties that we have used. This one is suitable for family groups with good sized bedrooms and excellent showers, en-suite etc. Its location is perfect for access to central Keswick and down to the Lake and having two allocated private car parking spaces avoids all the hassle and cost of parking in the heart of the town. We were a group of 6, could easily fit 8. Place is perfect, everything you need, large comunal area in living room and in kitchen. Bedrooms are spotless and excellent 3 bathrooms. Only thing that could be improved was the signal of the WiFi which wasn’t great anywhere in the house but don’t let that put you off as you’ll be out exploring in any case.
Second time we have stayed in this wonderful Bungalow. Just one thing,need more clean towels,one set not enough for a week otherwise everythng has been thought of and is great
A fantastic cottage in the perfect location. Providing easy access to the Threlkeld railway walk, 0.5 miles out of town. Ideal parking space on the front with a lovely pub opposite. Would highly recommend.
Everything from booking process (speaking to a real person) to the stay was F-A-N-T-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. What a brilliant wee bolthole for 2, and as central to the town square as you could possibly be (about 30 steps away). Everything in the accommodation was of high quality, well laid out and a lovely wee surprise card and bottle of sparkly for my 60th from the agent - lovely. Farmers Retreat was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have been in for a very long time. We visit Keswick frequently. It was clean, comfortable with beautiful decor and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved its location on the edge of Fitz Park so the easy walk into town was made more special by walking through a pristine park. The children enjoyed their evening swims in the river Greta. Ellergill is a lovely property, very well equipped for our large party. It is in a great location, second time we’ve all stayed here.
Well placed for a walk into Keswick, or escaping into the hills! Clean and comfortable and worked well for two teenagers and a toddler. Quiet location and some nice views, lovely secluded garden. Would happily stay here again.
We were a family of 6 adults (3 couples) with dogs spending Xmas day in the Lakes. Firstly the drive was huge so no problem with parking and the check in instructions were clear and simple. Three bedrooms was a godsend for us! The house has everything we could have needed for our stay, including a really well stocked kitchen for us to prepare Xmas dinner Also the pub around the corner was nice after a long walk. Took us around half hour to walk in to Keswick. The biscuits and prosecco were a lovely touch but the dog gift boxed were the very best!! We loved our stay, thank you
What a wonderful week at Swallows Lodge. A great location just out of the centre of Keswick with spectacular views across Derwentwater. The lodge was very well equipped, comfortable and warm (we stayed in February). We enjoyed being visited by the pheasant who would look in through the patio doors! Just spent a few days at Langrigg Cottage and all I can say is WOW. What a place! We loved it. Will definitely be staying there again. 360 degrees of the fells. Especially the front views. Nice walk in to the town centre. £6 in taxi back. And walks from the door step.
We have stayed in Keswick many times and in lots of different properties. Red Robin is in an excellent location, quiet and peaceful. This property was well appointed especially if you were self catering like we were with a young family. The only moan and this is for all holiday properties ,is the waste bins. Where we live we have bins for all recycling and find it really saddening that we can’t recycle as well while we are on holiday . We know there are recycling points in the town, but it’s something we don’t want to waste our precious days doing. Moan over, we had a lovely time.
The apartment is very well located, just a short minute's walk from shops and amenities, with the added bonus of 2 allocated car parking spaces. The apartment is very spacious, very well appointed and beautifully clean. Our only issue was with the traffic noise from the main road right outside the 2 front bedrooms which meant sleep was at a premium, and there was very little soundproofing from the apartment above. Shame because it really is a great apartment.
We had a great stay at Cherry Garth, the location was perfect unfortunately the weather was typical February rain, snow and wind. But still managed some good walks as had appropriate clothing with us. The property is a great for a good mix of people and very dog friendly. The only down comment we had was that the sofas were very uncomfortable and have seen better days. Also getting the property information electronically is good in some ways, but not helpful if the person receiving the link is out for the day and other people have an issue. What another amazing stay . Upon entering the property it was clear to see this was a beautiful townhouse. Heating was on toastie and warm after a long .drive , we then went through to the kitchen to see a beautiful bottle of prosseco with two glasses and a lovely welcome tub for our beautiful riva . Great apartment, very well equipped and in a good location. We have been staying at Bridgehouse Apartments for several years and have never been disappointed.
Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area.
Great location with walks from the door. Local shop, pubs and cafes all close by. Furnished and decorated to a high standard. The only niggle was a slightly erratic TV.
Absolutely super, immaculately maintained apartment. We had been once before and had no hesitation about going again. We went in early November both times, and found it warm, comfortable - especially the large bed! - and very well equipped. It is ideally situated, being very convenient for the town centre and only a few minutes walk to both the excellent Booth's supermarket and the bus station. Our 10th visit to this lovely bungalow in a wonderful location with glorious views. Spacious bedrooms both of which are en-suite. Good sized kitchen with utility room at the rear of the property. Lovely lounge with gorgeous views. Can't fault it!
We have become creatures of habit, staying at Fairbank for the third year in a row. It has everything we need in terms of being a delightful cottage with all the facilities we need, nicely furnished (plenty of wardrobe space) decorated and excellent heating and hot water which is a must in February. Its located directly opposite Fitz Park and the river so it has a beautiful view from the kitchen and master bedroom. The cottage is beautiful and really well appointed. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The garden is beautiful and we’d like stay again in the spring or summer months to appreciate it more! It’s only a short walk into Keswick and bus stops are right near by. We’d definitely stay here again.
Our second stay at Glen Cottage. Great location for exploring north western lake district. Really useful to have a parking space, superb walks accessible from the cottage, set in a lovely village with 3 pubs and 2 cafes within walking distance too. Cottage has been extremely well refurbished and a super place to stay in any season. Log burner nice to have in winter but took some lighting and the use of firelighters might have helped with this.
Lovely cosy cottage. Perfect location with everything easily accessible with lots of walks for the dog from the door. Car didn't move from our allocated parking spot for the duration of our stay. Super comfy bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Lovely bedrooms and lounge Surface clean only. Great location.Disgusting toilet brushes. Fridge far too small for 8 people. Kitchen needs attention. Heating either freezing or boiling coming on at odd times one day it was -4 and didn’t come on until 9am so house was very cold. Expected higher standard for the price. Other issues too. Would not recommend or stay again unless changes made. Feedback sent to company 2 days ago with no response as yet.
The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. We struggled with the hob as it clicks off every time we put the pan on and hadnt used that sort of hob before so took a while to figure it out. It was a lovely place to stay. Loved bridge cottage. This place has everything you ever need. Fire is beautiful and the main shower is absolutely delightful. The location is second to none.
Great accommodation for two people in an ideal location close to the main town area, with the benefit of on site parking. Warm on a cold winters day, with underfloor heating on the ground floor and central heating and a log fire in the living area. We have stayed with Keswick Cottages in the past and will do so again.

Easy to book a last minute getaway over the phone. Shortly after payment we received an email confirming the booking and providing full details of the property, key safe number, location etc. The property is very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Parking space in Keswick a great bonus, and location is very central, just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town. Beautiful apartment, lovely furnishings and great central location. Our only complaint was we couldn’t get the oven to work, it definitely needs replacing as seems a bit old.
We've visited Keswick many times always staying in B&B's but this was our first time in a cottage. The B&B's have always served us well but this was definitely a better experience. The moment we walked in the cottage was warm, homely and well equipped. The Christmas tree and decorations we're an unexpected bonus along with the complimentary welcome gifts, even a Christmas card. The kitchen and lounge area were the biggest plus for us over a B&B and it was very nice having a proper bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with very minimal noise from outside. The house is in a great location, out the way of the hustle and bustle but only about an 8 minute walk into the center of Keswick. The Lakes through everything at us weather wise but the house was a warm and inviting place to come back too. It is very well equipped with everything you need and generally got parked right outside. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.
We booked a last minute short break to Tithe Cottage. It’s a lovely little place in the perfect location to explore all that Keswick has to offer. Well-equipped and comfortable, we had a lovely stay. Parking is very tight and it was a bit tricky to find in the dark as the courtyard isn’t lit but otherwise all good

Keswick Cottages provide comprehensive details of checking in, key safe number, wifi code, recommendations for things to do etc. They are very helpful when contacted by phone with any questions we had. We had a very enjoyable stay at Rosebank the place was immaculate. The little touches of fresh flowers , welcome pack for us and our dog was very much appreciated. Even hand wash in both bathrooms and kitchen we usually take our own as none usually provided , plenty of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid everything thought of . Kitchen was well equipped , comfortable beds and plenty hot water . We loved seeing the wide variety of birds that visited the garden especially the pheasants. Perfect little house in a great location. Even though there isn’t really designated parking unless you have a tiny car there is always somewhere nearby to park. Will definitely stay here again. The receptionist at Keswick Cottages was delightful and couldn’t help enough.

Lovely, well appointed property in central Keswick with easy access to the town centre. Since the property is split over three levels there are plenty of stairs, but if you don't mind that the views are great.
Byways is a really lovely, cosy, well-equipped cottage in an excellent location just a few minutes' walk from Keswick Town centre. It's also close - and this is especially great if you take a dog with you - to a really nice park by the river. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short because of illness (mine), but we're very happy indeed in this excellent cottage. It was dressed nicely for Christmas (we were there the week before) and the gas 'woodburner' had us feeling extremely cosy indeed.
We booked a last minute stay at the Fellseeker and contacted the team directly to help with booking as we were looking for a dog friendly property. All of the booking team could not have been more helpful, excellent communication from the staff, who immediately sent over all booking information and directions to the property. On arrival at the property, it was lovely inside and very clean. The location is excellent. I would definitely book here again and could not recommend it enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The property is in an excellent location. Communication with Keswick cottages prior to our arrival and the information provided is also excellent. We were a party of ten and the accommodation was spacious enough for us all. The bedrooms are all a really good size and generally everyone agreed the beds and pillows were all comfortable. The bed on the 3rd floor was in need of some attention as it was a metal bed that was squeaky and had a lot of movement in the frame. The location was ideal and it was of reasonable value for the 5 of us. I love sitting out on the balcony in an evening. This is the 4th year we have stayed in the cottage because we have always been satisfied up until now. Sadly the house is in need of some TLC. The tiles in the bathroom were held on with duct tape, not ideal, and I would say that it needs a deep clean. Skirting boards were covered in dust, the small chest of drawers in the single room had juice spilled down the front and was sticky and the inside of the front living room window was covered in fingerprints. We are an active 70+ couple who have visited the Lakes for 30+ years. On arrival the keysafe proved too difficult to open and after 30 mins of fruitless attempts a call to the office for assistance in gaining access was necessary. The issue was resolved quickly in a most friendly manner. Once inside a couple of minor maintenance issues were identified (these things happen) but again, these were soon resolved. The house is kept beautifully clean. Views from it are mind blowingly fabulous. Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. Other than that, just a beautiful home from home and an incredible team at Keswick Cottages!! If you’re thinking about booking with them…just book…right now!!
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. The water levels were incredibly high when we arrived so couldn't make the best use of the launches as we have in the past but enjoyed a trip later in the week. Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring.
