Thanks to Sandra and Les for another great stay. Enjoyed the cake and lemon curd as usual. Perfect hosts and accommodation.
We love the Yorkshire Dales and Holiday Tree Cottage is a lovely place to stay in a wonderful location. We will be back again soon.
Thank you to Katherine and Pete for their warm welcome, flowers and goodies. The cottage is such an home from home. Off street parking and a quiet location, but within a short walk to Ripon city centre, a perfect combination. We look forward to returning soon.
This was our second visit - very well received - the house is ideally located and perfect for a couple. Pete and Katharine were very pleasant hosts. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to return.
Our stay at Badger's Holt meant a new highlight in our holidays to the UK and Scotland. After a warm welcome - thank you for the gift basket! - we had the pleasure to enjoy a week's stay in a really perfect house in Masham. Everything was available and in perfect working condition. Masham is a splendid starting point for trips due to its location. Our hosts -Liz and Colin- were very pleasant and always willing tot help.
This was our third visit to Barton Cottage and as always it was a shock to the system when Saturday came back round and it was time to leave. The cottage is ideally situated in the centre of the village, across the Green from the pub and the shop. We have never had an issue with parking in front of the property. It was warm and cosy, the coal fire was an added bonus in November. We slept well all week. The only thing it perhaps lacks is a washing machine but as someone who doesn't understand the concept of packing lightly it's never going to be an issue for me. It certainly will not to stop us...more
Small but perfect for a short break for two. Excellent location, clean, comfortable and warm, everything we wanted and some lovely goodies too.
We have enjoyed a great week staying in Green Bank, West Burton. Three generations have all had comfortable living and sleeping space and made to feel very welcome indeed, including two dogs! The house is extremely well equipped , a real home from home. The village is not only beautiful but is filled with signs of its history from centuries ago, there are beautiful walks that start from here, and the village Green play area and stunning waterfall keep the youngsters happy too. Luckily this village has a great shop, high quality butchers and a pub which means you don’t need to go much further a...more
Another lovely stay at Forge Cottage. Masham is our go to place to relax and unwind. Lots to explore around the area but we just like to enjoy Masham itself! Johnny Bagdad's is a must. Hhe White Bear inn serves delicious food and Harry's chippy is great! Joneva sells food, ice cream and gifts. We will definitely be back later in the year. Thank you Shirley and David.
A very comfortable cottage in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Yorkshire Dales . A wonderful place to get away from it all and wake up to only the sound of birds . A welcoming and helpful owners .
Great cottage all we needed for peaceful/ relaxing holiday excellent location, clean and comfortable, owner friendly and helpful
We had a lovely week at Mistle House and were able to explore many parts of Yorkshire from here and we had lovely weather as a bonus. The cottage was so homely and the whole family felt relaxed and refreshed. Thank you!
Well equipped and centrally located with easy parking. Very convenient for local shops and hostelries.
Had a great week in Burnside View, very comfortable, clean and spacious. Downstairs was great for leaving walking jackets, boots, sticks, etc. Accommodation has everything you need. Great views front and back. Already booked for next Spring.
We have been coming to the Rookery since 2012. We love this place. It is cosy, welcoming and totally relaxing. This year we took advantage of the aga and baked fresh bread, and made fresh cheese. It feels like coming home irs so welcoming, and waking up in a morning to the wonderful views outside the window is just stunning. We come at Easter and enjoy watching the lambs appear in the fields. Sue is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas and the pub a couple of miles down the road is lovely and worth a visit. We have alread...more
Tucked away off the main road in the village of Newbiggin, the house is a converted agricultural building. It's the home of the owners for part of the year and so everything is of fine quality. It has a beautiful, well appointed kitchen and a separate dining area, leading on to a cosy sitting room. Upstairs are two comfortable double bedrooms with en suite facilities. The only thing that I found a bit difficult is the unpredictable temperature of the water. The shower was too hot and on turning it down it went straight to cold. The bathroom wash hand basin needs to have the warm water runnin...more
Lovely peaceful stay comfortable and warm and the bed ensured a good night's sleep have stayed here before and never fails to deliver

We can‘t praise the agency Country Hideaways enough! They were very kind and supportive in a difficult situation and went out of their way to help us solve our problem. The cottage Hay Barn was exactly as advertised. We loved the rural, secluded location which provided peace and relaxation for us. The cottage is extremely spacious and offers everything you could wish for for a fortnight‘s holiday. We especially loved the comfy beds and the excellent shower. The sofas have seen better days, but were still comfortable enough. The owner, Alan, was very helpful without being intrusive. We wholehea...more
This property is in a beautiful peaceful location with a spectacular view. Settees very comfortable. Lounge / kitchen / dining area good. Great shower. I slept fairly well, mattress firm but quite comfortable. Internet is a bit unreliable but I guess that what comes of being out in the sticks! The property could definitely do with some drawers in the bedroom. The cushions on the settee were grubby and those on the bed were scruffy with pulled threads on them. The property is superficially clean, but cobwebs in corners and cupboards. Getting a saucepan out of the cupboard me...more
We have stayed quite a few times at Ivy Cottage. We love it and it holds many special memories . For the Welsh it is "cwtch", for the Swede's it is "hygge".
One of the nicest holiday cottages I have stayed in. The interior seemed brand new and the kitchen was very well equipped. Sitting outside in the sunshine, the only sounds are from the birds. The nearest village is only 10 mins drive away and has a superb butchers, which also stocks fruit& veg and cheeses. The local shop sells papers, bread and essentials. Ripon is a short distance away for supermarkets. The cottage is ideally situated to visit the wide range of attractions which that part of Yorkshire has to offer. For those who enjoy walking, Kirkby Malzeard moor is only a couple of ...more
