Thanks to Sandra and Les for another great stay. Enjoyed the cake and lemon curd as usual. Perfect hosts and accommodation.
From the booking to arrival and our subsequent weeks holiday, everything was first rate. We will definitely be back.
Thank you to the hosts of the Hay Loft. Our stay once again was made easy by having such nice kind hosts. The area in which the Hay Loft is situated is quiet & peaceful yet not far from the Ripon market town. Thank you. Christopher.
Cottage was very cosy and handy for Ripon, Harrogate and the rest of the Dales. Its very well equipped and the owner left a lovely welcome pack with homemade cake for when we arrived. We would stay again.
This was our third visit to Barton Cottage and as always it was a shock to the system when Saturday came back round and it was time to leave. The cottage is ideally situated in the centre of the village, across the Green from the pub and the shop. We have never had an issue with parking in front of the property. It was warm and cosy, the coal fire was an added bonus in November. We slept well all week. The only thing it perhaps lacks is a washing machine but as someone who doesn't understand the concept of packing lightly it's never going to be an issue for me. It certainly will not to stop us...more
Very clean comfortable & spacious accommodation in a quiet location but just a short stroll into Masham with excellent local amenities. Colin & Liz are very friendly hosts & would definitely recommend.
Great location, walks from the door, clean, comfortable, homely accommodation with every thing in it that you could possibly need. Very good price and included free logs and coal for your whole stay. Lovely welcome pack. Would strongly reccommend
Beckside was a truly beautiful holiday home.Beautifully clean with every thing you could have wished for. The area around the cottage was really lovely the water fall partially special as 2 days of rain there was so much water. Sandra and Les were really friendly there if you needed them. The welcome pack of milk, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar home made lemon curd and home made Barm Brack. I will highly reccomend Beckside.
This is a fabulous place to stay for so many reasons it's cosy, clean and comfortable. It's set in a remote area but not far from the many attractions in this area. Aysgarth water falls and Grassington to mention just two. We have stayed here for many years and love the wide open views of it's location and having the chance to see wildlife. We frequently see hares, owls, Red Kites. This year we saw 4 kestrels and a barn owl and herons at the nearby fall Cauldron falls at West Burton. If you love peace and tranquility this is the place for you.
This was our third stay at Green Bank and we always love it. The cottage is very comfortable, and has everything you can possibly need. There is also loads of space, and the open fire with plenty of coal is always a winner after a days walking in the Dales. We will be back for a fourth visit soon.
Lovely little cottage in the heart of Masham. Equipped with all you need to enjoy your stay with easy access to the amenities Masham has to offer. A nice day out can be had at Hawes where we purchased our Christmas cheese and North Allerton is a great place to visit.
Great cottage all we needed for peaceful/ relaxing holiday excellent location, clean and comfortable, owner friendly and helpful
Well equipped and centrally located with easy parking. Very convenient for local shops and hostelries.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mistle House, it is in a great location to visit Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. The cottage is well located with lovely views over the countryside. The owner seems to really care about her guests which is lovely. The Cottage was all we could have asked for and we hope to return to enjoy the cottage and the area in a different season
Had a great week in Burnside View, very comfortable, clean and spacious. Downstairs was great for leaving walking jackets, boots, sticks, etc. Accommodation has everything you need. Great views front and back. Already booked for next Spring.
We had an amazing stay at Rockery ! The property is beautifully situated, making for a unique and scenic experience. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy time together Everything about the accommodation was perfect—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Communication with the owner was excellent. We had an issue with the cold water on arrival, but the owner was responsive and had it sorted out right away, which we really appreciated. Amazing place Highly recommended! Overall, our stay was truly wonderful, and I hig...more
Tucked away off the main road in the village of Newbiggin, the house is a converted agricultural building. It's the home of the owners for part of the year and so everything is of fine quality. It has a beautiful, well appointed kitchen and a separate dining area, leading on to a cosy sitting room. Upstairs are two comfortable double bedrooms with en suite facilities. The only thing that I found a bit difficult is the unpredictable temperature of the water. The shower was too hot and on turning it down it went straight to cold. The bathroom wash hand basin needs to have the warm water runnin...more
Country Hideaways went above and beyond with a small issue we had with fridge, and we were very impressed with their care.
Always enjoy our visit to middleham,an the cottage didn't disappoint, great location, warm, comfortable, great for our dog
Cottage as described. Easy to warm up and dry wet clothing. Good location for exploring Wensledale...
My mother stayed at this cottage for a week with her 2 dogs, and I visited for a few nights too. It was a very well-equipped cottage, and we were impressed with the underfloor heating and efficient stove, which coped well with the sub-zero temperatures. It snowed heavily whilst we were there, which did make the long farm track quite difficult to navigate, but the farmer who owns the cottage was very helpful about clearing the track with his tractor. The cottage is next door to several other houses, so is not as isolated as you might expect. Overall a very comfortable stay and good value for mo...more
This property is in a beautiful peaceful location with a spectacular view. Settees very comfortable. Lounge / kitchen / dining area good. Great shower. I slept fairly well, mattress firm but quite comfortable. Internet is a bit unreliable but I guess that what comes of being out in the sticks! The property could definitely do with some drawers in the bedroom. The cushions on the settee were grubby and those on the bed were scruffy with pulled threads on them. The property is superficially clean, but cobwebs in corners and cupboards. Getting a saucepan out of the cupboard me...more
We have stayed quite a few times at Ivy Cottage. We love it and it holds many special memories . For the Welsh it is "cwtch", for the Swede's it is "hygge".
One of the nicest holiday cottages I have stayed in. The interior seemed brand new and the kitchen was very well equipped. Sitting outside in the sunshine, the only sounds are from the birds. The nearest village is only 10 mins drive away and has a superb butchers, which also stocks fruit& veg and cheeses. The local shop sells papers, bread and essentials. Ripon is a short distance away for supermarkets. The cottage is ideally situated to visit the wide range of attractions which that part of Yorkshire has to offer. For those who enjoy walking, Kirkby Malzeard moor is only a couple of ...more
