We stayed here as a large family group of three generations. Everyone was enchanted by the character of the house, with all the quirky art, the fantastic main staircase and so much space. There are so many living rooms on the ground floor that it was easy for different groups to find their own quiet space when wanted. The kitchen/dining area was perfect for large sociable meals, and was very well equipped. The stay was perfect! The hot tub was amazing. The hosts were great when we needed more logs and brought them straight away to our gate. Thank you for an amazing stay for new years and hopefully we will stay again.
Spent 10 days here and had a fabulous time - absolutely loved our stay in the Cruck Cottage and the New Forest! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the location and garden too. Thank you so much for the special touches such as dog biscuits, logs, and eggs. We really enjoyed the pub too, were lucky to have a band there on our last night! Our stay was perfect and will happily return to this lovely place! Thank you New Forest Escapes for finding us the right fit!
Fabulous few days staying in the centre of Lymington at the beautiful Seabiscuit. Seabiscuit is located a few metres off the high street so perfect for exploring everything Lymington has to offer. Top end property with 3 large bedrooms. Perfect open planning living downstairs and courtyard garden for when it’s not raining. Can highly recommend this property.
The service from New Forest Escapes was excellent from start to finish. Nothing seemed too much trouble and staff were always very polite, efficient and helpful. The property was delightful, stylish, comfortable and very interesting, with masses of space (we were a family group of 8 ranging in age from 3 years to 70) and lovely views across the grounds to the Solent. We loved our long weekend at Mulberry Lodge, the house is beautiful and the setting gorgeous and peaceful. The New Forest Adventure pack for my son was a nice touch!

We had the best time in Moonwood House. The setting was magical and the accommodation surpassed everything we thought it would be from the photos. We cannot praise the team at New Forest Escapes enough for their responsiveness. Magical memories have been made. We stayed in Hayley and Herbert's flat because we had to move out of our nearby house due to building work, so we weren't really on holiday, but flat is so lovely it felt like a holiday! It's comfortable, very spacious and beautifully furnished, also well-equipped and spotlessly clean. It's also in the perfect location for enjoying Milford - a stone's throw away from the beach and close to lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Hayley gave us a warm welcome and was helpful but not intrusive throughout our stay. And makes a lovely cake!
Absolutely ideal place to base yourself for exploring the New Forest. Even better to just tootle down to Lymington itself. Brought our bikes down so having the cycle rack outside was a bonus. Electric vehicle users no need to worry as fast charger just around the corner in the second car park around the corner a minute away and other chargers all around the town. Only downer is a 4pm access time, waste of a day.
We had a very pleasant week at Treetops. Deceptively large, light airy rooms, all amenities and very nice welcome pack. Comfy beds. The outdoor space is especially pleasant with lots of trees and birds singing, front and back. The decking is enormous and a sun trap, great for sun bathing, relaxing, al fresco dining and barbecues. Originally had booked in for a different place than whistlestop but due to factors out of our control, New Forest Escapes were instantly in touch to inform us of this and had offered us alternative accommodation. They stayed in contact with us and there we settled on Whistlestop. They went above and beyond for my partner and I to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. Purely for selfish reasons, I want to downplay how much I love this house; this was our second visit, and I don't want it to be fully booked out when we try and go back again! The house is amazingly cosy and decorated in a really tasteful and homely way. The garden gate leads straight into thousands of acres of New Forest - it's a proper escape, and was paradise for the dog, and for nature-loving humans too! A visit to the High Corner Inn is always a great addition.
An excellent cottage with all the facilities and equipment needed for a luxury stay. As a family of three plus our small dog we had a great week. Location is perfect and the service from Grant was spot on. We would definitely stay again
Just returned from a wonderful break with friends in “The Bend”. This is the nicest house we’ve booked over several years . Always heard to find a large house which fits our needs but we found it. The house is very comfortable , with a large open plan but still cosy feel , well decorated and with everything you need. An amazingly well kitted out kitchen , never seen so many glasses!! The dining room plenty big enough for 12 people to sit round the table . The lounge actually had seating for 12 , with cosy corners too. Spacious bedrooms, excellent kitchen, lovely lounge and dining area and very convenient for Lymington town centre but within a short drive to good walks in the New Forest. 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) guests fitted in comfortably.
One of the best self catering properties we’ve stayed at. Spacious, luxurious and an amazing location. Everything we needed was provided and the location is spot on with the beach just over the road and just a short drive the attractions of the New Forest. We’ll be back!
Had a wonderful time in staying in Riverview, the property was perfect for our family and ideally situated right in the heart of the New Forest. I would say that there were a few things that were broken when we got there which meant that we had to call the managing team to let them know. Handles falling off doors, mirrors coming off the wall, some of the kitchen cabinet coming off. Would defiantly consider coming back to stay if we found ourselves back there.
It was perfect. Warm, comfy and spacious house - we wouldn’t have changed anything. It was the perfect place for our family to gather to spend Christmas together coming from different places. Our dogs loved it too. Large garden for them to run in, woodland walks from the house, ponies, deer and wonderful hot tub ! Oak lodge was spotlessly clean and everything had been thought of. Jon was so helpful on Xmas eve when heating stopped ( easily fixed with new batteries in thermostat) loved every minute !
We booked a weekend away for an 80th birthday with our family. We wanted something fairly local to where we live as grandchildren needed to leave Sunday evening to get home for school/college. They were very impressed with the games room and made full use of it. The weather was mostly wet all weekend so they were kept busy. We were impressed with the space of all the rooms and the house was well equipped with everything we needed.

we stayed here for my husband’s surprise birthday, having self catering properties ourselves i was so impressed at the standard of the rooms and bathrooms every detail is thought of , the kitchen is well equipped and we used the gas BBQ even though it’s January! Good location for walking into town and visiting forest . i myself have taken home some tips from here to improve my own self catering property ! Highly recommend
Wow what a cottage, beautifully presented, probably the cleanest place we’ve stayed at , with everything you need to cook with as well as all you may want if the weather stops your adventures, including a washer dryer for those muddy clothes. But the best surprise is its location, literally had ponies outside the window, with loads more a level short walk away, with woodlands, streams and open heathland to explore for miles all on your doorstep, not to mention the short walk to a country village with Tea Rooms, Pubs and shops for all those browsers and shoppers.
Wow, just wow! Everything was as described, if not better. Definitely exceeded our expectations and plenty of space for 8 people, along with hosting other members of our family who visited us over Christmas. The place was fully equipped with everything we needed, along with a picture perfect Christmas Tree. And there were some nice additional touches to make us feel welcome when we arrived. Can’t rate this place highly enough and will be our first choice again in future if ever we need to rent a larger home in the New Forest.
Everything at the accommodation was fantastic. My only criticism is if it’s going to be advertised as baby/ child friendly which it was I would recommend a fire guard around the fire.
What a beautiful cottage in the middle of stunning countryside. Even the rain couldn't ruin the views. The cottage is well equipt with everything you could need , Comfy beds and beautiful en suites. Even a bath with a view. The horses and guinea fowls were great to watch. The fenced garden was perfect for the dogs. The perfect cottage and location.....we will be back.
The house was easy to find and the file with information was clear and written in a friendly style. The welcome pack was delightful - particularly the home produced honey! The bedrooms are well spaced so everyone had their own space. The upper living space has a wonderful view and was so comfortable - we all relaxed their and the extra door between the living space and the bedrooms on the same floor meant that adults could enjoy the space while little ones slept nearby. The photos do not do this property justice. It's a beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The hot tub, gym and games room provided that extra 'thing', especially for a family of 8. Combining this with lovely walks and pubs nearby, as well as a large number of 'attractions' so close, there was a lot to do. And amazing hosts too, so helpful. If there was anything we would change it would be to properly secure the property as our dogs did find some 'escape' areas. Just lovely.
We have just spent four nights at Popsy cottage with our dog. The house is lovely, very comfortable, clean and had everything that we needed. We particularly enjoyed the log fire. The New Forest is a short drive away and the local shops and pub the Hare and Hounds are walking distance. Would happily stay here again. NFE were easy and efficient to deal with and Claire the property manager was prompt and helpful with our queries. Overall very happy with our stay.
This is a wonderful house for a family celebration. Top quality kitchen and beautifully decorated house. We really enjoyed staying here despite a very rainy weekend. It was ideal for all our family including two dogs. Such a comfortable house which enhanced our visit.
We booked Little Nye alongside the main house Nye Creek. It was perfect extra space with easy access to the garden / hot tub / dining. Worth knowing that it is very close to the main house if you are booking separately. The bathroom for the main house is directly above Little Nye’s bedroom. Running showers and flushing toilets are quite loud. The bed in Little Nye is quite low and the bed is very firm. Very comfortable pillows and bedding. As a self-contained space, Little Nye has everything you need. Perfect location for the forest and the coast.
Location is fabulous and scenery is better than any we have stayed in. Well equiped with everything you need. Just found the decor a bit dated and in need of an uplift
Fern Villa is exceptionally decorated, comfortably furnished and luxuriously equipped for a brilliant family stay. The fully enclosed rear garden is excellent for dogs and the outside lounging area lovely at night with fire pit under the stars. Amazing to see the local ponies, donkeys and horses wondering on the road out the front. A nice easy driving distance to the best beaches and walking trails right from Brockenhurst to explore.
Wanted a break in the New Forest and this cottage met that desire. It was comfortable and homely with every thing that you need and more. Would happily spend more time there.

What a lovely warm, cosy and welcoming home. 3 generations enjoyed this lovely home with everything we needed to make our stay just right. 10 minute walk into Lyndhurst through the field and the New Forest just round the corner. Lovely shops in town catering for all our needs. Weather for October was very kind to us. I expect this home is even lovelier if you get a chance to sit outside on a lovely warm evening. It was very quiet so a nice peaceful location. Thank you to the owners and everyone behind the scenes.
This was just right for our family group. Well-equipped. Well placed for short, level walks by the elderly and infirm but with longer options for the younger and fitter. However, my son-in-law, who is somewhat disabled , and I, age 92, had some accessibility problems particularly with the staircase. The handrail is too wide to be held securely. It would help to have an additional second handrail of a smaller diameter which could be fully grasped. It would also help if one of the upstairs toilets was adjacent to a wall to which a grab rail could be fixed, to help with sitting and standing...more
Spent a few days pre Christmas with the family and had an excellent trip. The cottage was in a great location for some walks and next to a super pub that did a fantastic Sunday roast. Great customer service from New Forest Escapes too!
We had a lovely stay at Little Exbury with two dogs. The cottage is very comfortable and clean at the end of a quiet lane, with Lepe only a c. 3km walk/drive away, and nearby Exbury, Beaulieu and the rest of the National Park within close proximity. We hope to go back sometime soon!
We wanted somewhere that was suitable for a family celebration that was both relaxing and comfortable for ages 10 to 80 in a quiet location and in this respect Valley View ticked all the boxes. We loved the cottage annex which proved very suitable for our group and which matched the quality of the main house in every respect. We had a lovely week stay at Gins Barn. It is comfortable and spacious and in a great location. Holly and Julian could not have been more helpful and their dogs were very friendly! Sitting outside as the sun set by the river was a great end to the day.
This is the second time that we have stayed at Sway Corner. It is a perfect place to stay to enjoy the New Forest with the added bonus of having a train station, shops & pubs within walking distance. The cottage itself is well equipped & the beds are very comfortable.
Our long weekend for an 80th family birthday here was perfect. Feeling nice and quiet at one end of Pilley but also in walking distance of the community shop for any last minute supplies. It was nice to see the New Forest ponies from the window and some early colour in the sweet garden. The cottage was well furnished with too many lovely touches to mention really. I particularly liked the luxurious throws and wall hangings and oh so many books, both on the local area, especially walking, and very many novels! Had the most wonderful stay. The location is superb and ideal for getting around the forest with the high street on your doorstep which is handy for anything you might need. The house was spotless clean and the decor was gorgeous- very homely and comfortable. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay Thank you very much.
Burley Mews is a lovely property in an idyllic spot in the forest. It has a stylish modern interior with quality furniture and fittings. The kitchen is well thought out and well equipped. The bathroom with shower over bath again is modern and stylish.It is ideally situated for walks in the forest and the village of Burley is easily reached on foot , as is the The White Buck Inn. A comfortable cottage for the family and our grand daughter lived the dolls house. Sofas in the lounge a bit tired.
Always a lovely place to stay for great forest walks to the north and beachside strolls to the south.
Harbour View is an inviting, light and bright house. We loved the open plan living area upstairs as it meant we were all together all of the time. The kitchen was equipped to the highest standard. It was warm and cosy. We enjoyed the hot tub. One of the bathrooms sinks was blocked and smelly but we fixed it.
Enjoyed our stay to celebrate our Mum’s birthday. Furnished and equipped to a high standard. Good facilities although the weather limited their use. The area around the hot tub was quite slippery so a bit dangerous and the Swimming pool cover was quite hard to open and close (although electrically operated needed a lot of manual help).
Amazing stay here. Beautiful building and everything top quality. Kitchen so well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Can honestly say we had no complaints. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

White Gates is a wonderful cottage with tons of charm. Very comfortable -- excellent beds, shower, kitchen etc. -- and a beautiful yard with lots of space for kids to run around. Very easy check-in and out. The location is lovely, although the walk to the beach is a bit farther than described, perhaps because some of the public footpaths seem to have been blocked off with barbed wire (unclear why). Still very doable, but more like 45 mins walking at a decent pace. Overall had a wonderful stay!
A lovely sung ‘shed’ with the log burner going. Very convenient location to get into the town or walk the coast. Only criticism is that when we arrived in the dark and cold, the heating had not been left on so we had to get the log burner going immediately.
The property was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very well equipped and great location. Clean, tidy and the team were very efficient. Few feedback points - would be handy for outside lights to be left on for arrival, makes parking and finding lock box much easier. The Upstairs single toilet with sliding door blocks very easily - seems to be issue with flush/ pipes so we had to unblock it whilst there. The downstairs shower also floods very easily - water doesn’t drain quick enough
