We (6 family members + baby) found Solent Place super clean and very well equipped (save for a microwave). Everything needed for a comfortable holiday with thoughtful additions such as kitchen & cleaning supplies. Everything worked (showers/heating etc) and when there were a couple of (minor) issues the property manager was on hand to discuss and address. In fact, the property appeared as new! The parking space is actually fine even for a larger vehicle and the location is perfect whether the weather is good or not so. We hope to return. Kind Regards.
Spent 10 days here and had a fabulous time - absolutely loved our stay in the Cruck Cottage and the New Forest! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the location and garden too. Thank you so much for the special touches such as dog biscuits, logs, and eggs. We really enjoyed the pub too, were lucky to have a band there on our last night! Our stay was perfect and will happily return to this lovely place! Thank you New Forest Escapes for finding us the right fit!
We stayed here as a large family group of three generations. Everyone was enchanted by the character of the house, with all the quirky art, the fantastic main staircase and so much space. There are so many living rooms on the ground floor that it was easy for different groups to find their own quiet space when wanted. The kitchen/dining area was perfect for large sociable meals, and was very well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable, so much so I had to check out the brand of mattresses! The children enjoyed the playroom and the outside space, and the grownups ...more
Nash Point is absolutely beautiful. The owners have done a marvellous job of the property in almost every way. Only issue we had was that the hot water wasn't working initially but it was swiftly resolved... only thing it could do with is a pool being added to that spectacular lawn!
Our stay at Bramble Hut was exactly the break we needed. The hut itself was furnished to the highest standards and was so cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful even though it was March and it was a bit chilly outside. We would definitely stay again.
Fabulous few days staying in the centre of Lymington at the beautiful Seabiscuit. Seabiscuit is located a few metres off the high street so perfect for exploring everything Lymington has to offer. Top end property with 3 large bedrooms. Perfect open planning living downstairs and courtyard garden for when it’s not raining. Can highly recommend this property.
The service from New Forest Escapes was excellent from start to finish. Nothing seemed too much trouble and staff were always very polite, efficient and helpful. The property was delightful, stylish, comfortable and very interesting, with masses of space (we were a family group of 8 ranging in age from 3 years to 70) and lovely views across the grounds to the Solent. We loved all the artwork on the walls (most was for sale and much by Caroline and Nick de Rothschild, the property owners) and particularly enjoyed our visit to their Palais des Vaches art gallery a short drive from the rotun...more
We loved our long weekend at Mulberry Lodge, the house is beautiful and the setting gorgeous and peaceful. The New Forest Adventure pack for my son was a nice touch!
We stayed for a week at Swallows Cottage and would wholeheartedly recommend it (and hope to come again!). Customer service prior to our stay was excellent and the cottage itself was superb! Brilliantly equipped (they really have thought of everything for a family stay - our 3 year old particularly enjoyed the vast selection of toys!), comfortable and stylish and in a great location - walkable to the marina and the high street. Lymington itself is wonderful with a lovely selection of shops, cafes and restaurants and is a perfect base for exploring the area. 10/10!
A beautiful home in the Cotswolds conveniently located within touching distance of the Pubs, Walks and the coast line. Glorious home with everything you need. A must stay! Thank you
We stayed in Hayley and Herbert's flat because we had to move out of our nearby house due to building work, so we weren't really on holiday, but flat is so lovely it felt like a holiday! It's comfortable, very spacious and beautifully furnished, also well-equipped and spotlessly clean. It's also in the perfect location for enjoying Milford - a stone's throw away from the beach and close to lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Hayley gave us a warm welcome and was helpful but not intrusive throughout our stay. And makes a lovely cake!
Absolutely ideal place to base yourself for exploring the New Forest. Even better to just tootle down to Lymington itself. Brought our bikes down so having the cycle rack outside was a bonus. Electric vehicle users no need to worry as fast charger just around the corner in the second car park around the corner a minute away and other chargers all around the town. Only downer is a 4pm access time, waste of a day.
We had a very pleasant week at Treetops. Deceptively large, light airy rooms, all amenities and very nice welcome pack. Comfy beds. The outdoor space is especially pleasant with lots of trees and birds singing, front and back. The decking is enormous and a sun trap, great for sun bathing, relaxing, al fresco dining and barbecues. The owner (Vivek) was in contact before, during and after to make certain everything going smooth and with recommendations. The location is ideal for exploring the New Forest, visited Burley, Mudeford, Lymington and Poultons Park. All in all a great holiday, woul...more
Originally had booked in for a different place than whistlestop but due to factors out of our control, New Forest Escapes were instantly in touch to inform us of this and had offered us alternative accommodation. They stayed in contact with us and there we settled on Whistlestop. They went above and beyond for my partner and I to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. New Forest Escapes also offered us a gesture of good will for the inconvenience which we used towards our favourite cuisine, Italian none the less, where the restaurant (Alberto’s in brockenhurst) were also so accommodating to help us...more
Purely for selfish reasons, I want to downplay how much I love this house; this was our second visit, and I don't want it to be fully booked out when we try and go back again! The house is amazingly cosy and decorated in a really tasteful and homely way. The garden gate leads straight into thousands of acres of New Forest - it's a proper escape, and was paradise for the dog, and for nature-loving humans too! A visit to the High Corner Inn is always a great addition.
An excellent cottage with all the facilities and equipment needed for a luxury stay. As a family of three plus our small dog we had a great week. Location is perfect and the service from Grant was spot on. We would definitely stay again
This property is in a great location, very well equipped and impressively fitted out. we have stayed 3 times and about to book again, the location is great for Milford village and we walk for miles each day usually with a Saturday lunch at Soho in Christchurch and this time which was a lovey touch New Forest Escapes treated us, a lovley touch!
We stayed as a group of friends. Plenty of space for everyone and lovely that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Plenty of living room space and a dining room which 10 of us fitted into comfortably. The kitchen is generally well equipped but maybe an extra kettle would help as if there are 12 staying it takes a couple of kettle fills to get everyone a hot drink….maybe even a stovetop one? Other than that we didn’t need anything that wasn’t provided.
What a gorgeous little house, very cleverly and beautifully designed. We especially loved the artwork. Great location - we were able to walk to dinner both evenings [Elderflower and Haven], and despite struggling with parking when we arrived [Friday afternoon], were able to park both cars right outside for the rest of the weekend. Bathrooms were super clean and well appointed - my fault, but I should have checked for a walk in shower [my mother struggles with climbing into baths], so if/when updating, might be an idea. Despite hardly using the kitchen, we did appreciate the good coffee mach...more
The property was exactly as described although there was no front gate key box; the gate was simply pushed to open and close. The lodge was very quiet and peaceful, being a little way out of Burley, but not too far to walk in to the village. Very clean and modern with respect to heating and facilities, the hot tub was a bonus but perhaps a little expensive when charged on top of the lodge cost. The open-access EV charging was also appreciated and reasonably priced. Overall this was a lovely spot for a peaceful break and we would go again, as well as recommending to others.
We booked a weekend away for an 80th birthday with our family. We wanted something fairly local to where we live as grandchildren needed to leave Sunday evening to get home for school/college. They were very impressed with the games room and made full use of it. The weather was mostly wet all weekend so they were kept busy. We were impressed with the space of all the rooms and the house was well equipped with everything we needed.
We had a lovely couple of nights staying at The Nest, it was really easy to find and the parking was really handy. The location is great, meaning we were able to walk everywhere (shops, restaurants, spa etc). The bed was really comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. It was a little chilly during the stay but the robe that was provided was a nice touch. It was lacking a little in extra touches in the kitchen but is fine for a couple of days away. If you want to listen to music, I'd recommend taking a speaker or something with you as we could only find a few random channels on the ...more
Lovely stay, perfect location. Close to everything and great that we had parking. Definitely a plus in Lymington.
Riverview is a lovely house in a great location within easy walking distance of Brockenhurst. There was lots of space for eight adults to relax and we especially loved the garden room with views across the garden to the river. The beds and seating were all comfortable and the house had everything we needed for a long weekend. Apart from some traffic noise in the front two bedrooms we all enjoyed the calm and tasteful environment.
The Little Gate House is of the very highest standard in all areas. The style and decor are stunning. It is very well equipped. It’s is in a quiet location with a short walk to the beach. I strongly recommend The Little Gate House for the perfect break.
Wow what a cottage, beautifully presented, probably the cleanest place we’ve stayed at , with everything you need to cook with as well as all you may want if the weather stops your adventures, including a washer dryer for those muddy clothes. But the best surprise is its location, literally had ponies outside the window, with loads more a level short walk away, with woodlands, streams and open heathland to explore for miles all on your doorstep, not to mention the short walk to a country village with Tea Rooms, Pubs and shops for all those browsers and shoppers.
Wow, just wow! Everything was as described, if not better. Definitely exceeded our expectations and plenty of space for 8 people, along with hosting other members of our family who visited us over Christmas. The place was fully equipped with everything we needed, along with a picture perfect Christmas Tree. And there were some nice additional touches to make us feel welcome when we arrived. Can’t rate this place highly enough and will be our first choice again in future if ever we need to rent a larger home in the New Forest.
What a beautiful cottage in the middle of stunning countryside. Even the rain couldn't ruin the views. The cottage is well equipt with everything you could need , Comfy beds and beautiful en suites. Even a bath with a view. The horses and guinea fowls were great to watch. The fenced garden was perfect for the dogs. The perfect cottage and location.....we will be back.
The house was easy to find and the file with information was clear and written in a friendly style. The welcome pack was delightful - particularly the home produced honey! The bedrooms are well spaced so everyone had their own space. The upper living space has a wonderful view and was so comfortable - we all relaxed their and the extra door between the living space and the bedrooms on the same floor meant that adults could enjoy the space while little ones slept nearby. The downstairs playroom/music room was amazing! The toys were perfect and not precious so all ages could find something ...more
The photos do not do this property justice. It's a beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The hot tub, gym and games room provided that extra 'thing', especially for a family of 8. Combining this with lovely walks and pubs nearby, as well as a large number of 'attractions' so close, there was a lot to do. And amazing hosts too, so helpful. If there was anything we would change it would be to properly secure the property as our dogs did find some 'escape' areas. Just lovely.
Perfect for a short stay as a couple. Loved the peaceful area but a short stroll to the lovely town of Milford. Little Nye was comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. As it's the annex to a larger house we will definitely be looking to book again with all the family to make the most of all the space.
Just got back from a lovely stay at Popsy Cottage, everything you need for a comfortable stay in the new forest. Excellent for kids with plenty of toys.
We had a fantastic stay at No 16. The house is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is perfect for families - spacious and extremely well equipped. The kids (and our furry friend!) had an amazing time as well. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Really enjoyed our stay at Hatchet Pond cottage. Good for a young family, with a lovely garden. New Forest Escapes provided the right amount of support and contact.
Well appointed and extremely comfortable and in a great location with a fantastic view over the sea but within easy walking distance of all shops and services in Milford on Sea.
Fern Villa is exceptionally decorated, comfortably furnished and luxuriously equipped for a brilliant family stay. The fully enclosed rear garden is excellent for dogs and the outside lounging area lovely at night with fire pit under the stars. Amazing to see the local ponies, donkeys and horses wondering on the road out the front. A nice easy driving distance to the best beaches and walking trails right from Brockenhurst to explore.
New Forest Escapes are a friendly team, dedicated to our happiness! They responded to WhatsApp promptly. On arrival the house manager made contact, asking me to contact her with any queries - how nice! The team produce an online guide with everything you need to know about the house and local area - it’s so thoughtful, professional and was much appreciated. The house itself is in an open space surrounded by fields on a quiet road. It was peaceful. We immediately felt at home, loved the garden and hot tub. A well-equipped kitchen - oil, salt and pepper, some Nespresso pods, teabags and washing ...more
Wanted a break in the New Forest and this cottage met that desire. It was comfortable and homely with every thing that you need and more. Would happily spend more time there.
What a lovely warm, cosy and welcoming home. 3 generations enjoyed this lovely home with everything we needed to make our stay just right. 10 minute walk into Lyndhurst through the field and the New Forest just round the corner. Lovely shops in town catering for all our needs. Weather for October was very kind to us. I expect this home is even lovelier if you get a chance to sit outside on a lovely warm evening. It was very quiet so a nice peaceful location. Thank you to the owners and everyone behind the scenes.
Brilliant location if you enjoy walking and seeing the vast array of seabirds and other wildlife . We literally walked everywhere whilst staying for a week. Loved the Aga once we got used to it.
Spent a few days pre Christmas with the family and had an excellent trip. The cottage was in a great location for some walks and next to a super pub that did a fantastic Sunday roast. Great customer service from New Forest Escapes too!
Sway Corner is a lovely bright house and we were very lucky with the March sunshine so were also able to sit outside! Everything is considered by the owners and the house offers many amenities. We needed a bit of an ology for the television but that's no big deal. Location for the forest is fantastic and an easy drive into Lymington. Thank you and we will return.
The property was perfect for our weekend walking with friends. Comfortable, spacious and warm (the arga!). We enjoyed some excellent varies walks straight from the door. The March weather was perfect - warm and sunny - and we enjoyed a paddle in the Latchmoor Brook and relaxing in the wonderful garden.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forest Cottage which is clearly a well-loved family home. The owner was helpful and generous with welcome gifts. The location is superb for the many beautiful walks in the New Forest. Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Beaulieu and Lymington are 10 - 20 minutes away, together with the coast (we visited Milford on Sea). There is an excellent village community shop nearby and we can recommend the Red Lion at Boldre, which is also close by.
Everything was in walking distance, and even the drive to Mudiford was a short way. We were lucky and had great weather
Burley Mews is a lovely property in an idyllic spot in the forest. It has a stylish modern interior with quality furniture and fittings. The kitchen is well thought out and well equipped. The bathroom with shower over bath again is modern and stylish. It is ideally situated for walks in the forest and the village of Burley is easily reached on foot , as is the The White Buck Inn. There are open views from the property. Our visit at the end of November coincided with a very cold few days and unfortunately the bathroom and living/kitchen area of the property were very cold despite the central ...more
A comfortable cottage for the family and our grand daughter lived the dolls house. Sofas in the lounge a bit tired.
My daughter, grandson, and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lodge and it was a delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how well-equipped the house was. It was full of everything we needed for our four-night stay, making it feel like a home away from home. The spacious layout allowed us to enjoy our time together comfortably. We had a wonderful time at The Lodge. The combination of comfort, convenient location, and easy access to local attractions made our stay truly enjoyable. We would definitely return again for another memorable getaway! Hig...more
Excellent all round, we came to celebrate my wife’s 70th with all the family and we had a great time. Just like to thank all involved ,many thanks again Trevor.
Great property with lovely vibrant, colourful furnishings, and artwork. Comfy beds, sofa and chairs and well equipped kitchen. Location was beautiful we enjoyed the luxury of having our morning cuppa in bed with the blinds up and window open listening to the birds and watching the wildlife strolling around. Mr Pheasant strutting about like lord of the manor while guinea fowl and partridge scurried around like women at the market! Taking morning dog walks through the field where I encountered deer, heard woodpeckers and skylarks and chatted to the horses in their paddocks. Really relaxing loca...more
A fabulous place to stay for a family gathering and celebration…. Everything was beautifully presented, v clean and comfortable. Our 3 dogs enjoyed the garden space. We were fortunate to have some warm beautiful weather to be able to use the pool and jacuzzi too. The location was great to walk into Lymington and an easy short drive to the beaches and New Forest.
Amazing stay here. Beautiful building and everything top quality. Kitchen so well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Can honestly say we had no complaints. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
Beautiful little cottage. Everything you needed perfect place to recharge your batteries will definitely return one day.
White Gates is a wonderful cottage with tons of charm. Very comfortable -- excellent beds, shower, kitchen etc. -- and a beautiful yard with lots of space for kids to run around. Very easy check-in and out. The location is lovely, although the walk to the beach is a bit farther than described, perhaps because some of the public footpaths seem to have been blocked off with barbed wire (unclear why). Still very doable, but more like 45 mins walking at a decent pace. Overall had a wonderful stay!
It’s perfectly acceptable for an owner to describe their property as ‘small’ or ‘cosy’—provided the accommodation possesses a modicum of charm, rustic or otherwise. This place simply possesses smallness. However, what the ‘Boat Shed’ lacks in charm, it makes up for in plywood, rusty tables, and a shower so small that one wonders if the owners considered that an average-sized adult might want to clean themselves in it. Couple this with the Hyacinth “Bouquet-esque” rules in a disinctly Bucket-style accommodation and you might just have ‘The Boat Shed’.
The property was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very well equipped and great location. Clean, tidy and the team were very efficient. Few feedback points - would be handy for outside lights to be left on for arrival, makes parking and finding lock box much easier. The Upstairs single toilet with sliding door blocks very easily - seems to be issue with flush/ pipes so we had to unblock it whilst there. The downstairs shower also floods very easily - water doesn’t drain quick enough
