Greate cottage with good location ,with access to shops , pubs, sites and attractions less than couple of miles away
We have never been to Thornton Rust before but found it a lovely peaceful location to stay, near to plenty of good places to visit for food and walks. We thought the cottage was well equipped and very clean. We slept very well due to the quiet. The local people were friendly , always wishing us good morning etc. We walked locally using the kindly provided laminated instructions. Within minutes you could be walking across fields full of sheep. We used the patio table for breakfast, lunch and tea ! Thank you for a lovely stay, we would recommend the cottage and hope to come back.
One of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The scenery is amazing and so quiet. Excellent location. Will definitely be back though I think I prefer the Dales around March time when it is quieter. Everywhere was very busy with parking an issue in some of the more popular spots. I would give the property 10/10 and would highly recommend
We enjoyed our stay., loved the cottage and the little private garden. The hosts are really friendly and Sandra provide a warm welcome. Good quality bedding and furnishings, well thought out layout. Like the French doors into the garden. Kitchen well equipped. Would differently recommend it and would come back again.
A very nice well proportion cottage (Barn Conversion) in a very quite nice area All round very good facilities and a great location and being dog friendly was excellent Also a nice welcome basket upon our arrival
Ivy Cottage is clean, comfortable and spacious and well equipt. There is a small, neat garden behind. Situated at the side of the Green the pleasures of the village can seen, groups of people coming and going, the Fox and Hounds at the other side, the Village shop and Tea Room. There is just about anything you could wish for. Situated at the side of the green we could look out and observe other people moving about and families playing ball games. Round the corner is The beck with its waterfall, excellent for playing in when not too full.
Great place to stay, really enjoyed our time. Very generous welcome pack provided. Just a short walk into Ripon.
We have stayed at Green Bank several times and would recommend to anyone. It’s a great size house for two families and is well equipped. Location is perfect! Over the years we have been staying here the owners have made improvements to the make the stay more comfortable and have thought about everything you could need for a self catering break! Great house in great location, we have booked for next year already.
Wefind The Wheelhouse in West Burton a lovely place to stay. The accommodation is beautifully presented, comfortable and well equipped and the village is a delight. The nearby river and waterfall are a joy. We have explored both locally and further afield and find plenty to enjoy whatever the weather. Local folk have always been friendly and helpful and nearby Visitor Centres at Aysgarth and Hawes also. The village shop and butcher supply good quality provisions and pubs and tearooms in the area serve great food for eating out.
We were very happy here! Very clean, comfy bed, kitchen well equipped. Lovely cottage and we loved how pretty West Burton is. Definitely recommend staying here
We have loved our stay here, just what we needed - very quiet location. Front garden was very secure for our dog and also very private for us. We brought our garden chairs so we could recline outside in the sun which was very relaxing! There is garden seating at a picnic table but if you want to relax bringing chairs is a good idea! Inside is very comfortable, nice to relax in evening and kitchen well equipped, good space for eating and cooking. Hosts were great, helpful and also non-intrusive which we like! And they left us a welcome pack which was lovely with essentials and some treats :) A...more
Very good cottage with everything provided for guests' needs and thoughtful touches of toiletries, chocolates etc. Great to have two bathrooms and accommodation very comfortable overall.
The reason for giving a three for location is that we were here the week end they were gathering all the harvest and there was constant traffic which was extremely noisy, Fortunately or unfortunately we had a glorious sunny week so had to keep the windows open which didn’t help with the noise!
Spacious, comfortable cottage, great location just two mins walk to Masham Market Place where there are two cafes and a handful of good pubs. Inside cottage everything had been thought of with comfort in mind. Two bathrooms with complimentary toilets add to the luxury. We have already re-booked as we loved it so much.
Our 2 families (6 in total) including children aged 3 and 7 have just stayed for our second, very enjoyable visit here. The house is very spacious with the 4 bedrooms and has a lovely bright open layout downstairs suited to bigger families. Well equipped throughout. There is a small enclosed back garden but that was not a problem as the park with a playground was literally just over the road. However it is a very busy road. Position of property is excellent and is just a short walk to all the local amenities in Masham, you can literally see the black sheep brewery from the house! We would h...more
We had a lovely week at Burnside View. The flat was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery and utensils. We found the location to be very convenient for exploring the dales and perfect for shopping in Hawes. Although it is in the higher price range it is certainly worth the money and we would highly recommend a stay here.
Everything was provided to ensure we had a relaxing holiday experience. The 1st floor accommodation was easy to access however car parking was sometimes a little difficult.
5 of us stayed during a sunny week in the dales. House was lovely with all the amenities you could ask for. Everything was well organised and information from both Country Hideaways and the owner spot on. We were admittedly very fortunate with the weather but, even so, the property did not disappoint and would a great base, whatever the weather. You do need a car to get to the nearest pub or eatery but there’s plenty of cooking utilities if you’re happy to cook your own food. Beds were also comfy but duvets were a tad heavy given the temperature. All in all, thoroughly recommen...more
