The apartment was extremely well looked after with beautiful furnishings. There is everything you need to fully self cater as we did. There is plenty of easy parking. The area is beautiful for walking & it is situated with easy access to main roads for travelling the area. Would certainly revisit
During this, our third stay at Holly Tree Cottage, we were again so impressed by the property, its location and facilities. Allan and Donna maintain the Cottage to such a high standard, something we have come to expect from Country Hideaways properties. This year the weather was slightly less kind than previous visits but we did find that, staying local to the village, we came across a wonderful welcoming community from the local church and within the village itself that really enriched our holiday. The cottage is certainly one of our "go to" properties for our frequent holidays in Yorkshire -...more
This was our third stay at The Hay Loft, and it won’t be our last. It’s a very cosy cottage perfect for two, with everything you could want or need for a lovely holiday.
Lovely house to stay in for a week away in this great part of the country. Very peaceful - loved having no neighbours next door! This was our second visit and we would definitely stay again when we are next in this area. Liz, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.
Cottage was lovely with everything we needed. Good central location for walking or touring by car. Village was friendly and the few shops meant that we didn't need to travel to a supermarket. Really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend to anyone.
As always a great quiet, friendly, and comfortable retreat. Ideal situation fot that part of The Dales.
Friendly owners. walking distance to village pub, shop, butchers, various local footpaths, Becks & waterfall
We've just returned from our 7th trip to Hill Top Cottage. It was as perfect as ever - delightful, well equipped, fantastic views, and a very warm welcome from the owners, Pat and Rob. Thank you for allowing us another annual 'Dales fix' - we're looking forward to next year already.
We really loved our stay at Green Bank. We were drawn to this cottage by the location and the previous reviews, and it did not disappoint. Possibly the cleanest house I have ever stayed in, they clearly have a great team that look after the place. We really enjoyed the homely comforts and the attention to detail, including the welcome basket. Green Bank provides a great base to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale, with some great walks from the front door. We were lucky enough to experience the Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival during our stay. The amazing local ice cr...more
Had a great Holiday. so close to main square and all facilities. Cottage beautifully furnished and spacious, spotless ly clean. Thank-you for the obliging owners too!
Great cottage all we needed for peaceful/ relaxing holiday excellent location, clean and comfortable, owner friendly and helpful
School house was very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. We had cake, cheese and milk left which was very much appreciated. The downside was that no heat came on with the storage heaters and we were cold especially in the mornings, although there was provisions to light the fire which we did on some of the evenings. It would have been helpful if a second handrail had been put in as stairs were very steep. We did enjoy staying there. Keith
Burnside View is a comfy, clean, well equipped flat near the centre of Hawes. We keep returning because it is ideal for walking holidays but with a bit of luxury. The agency and owners provide excellent customer service and the flat provides very good value for money. There are plenty of good facilities in Hawes - great pubs and restaurants - and being on the Pennine Way and close to the Three Peaks, it is in a perfect location. Thank you for letting us stay. We will definitely be back.
A very comfortable cottage, very clean and well maintained. Lots of space, good heating and excellent wifi. Good views across the countryside and lots of walking and cycling from the door, with Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Masham in easy reach. saw deer, rabbits, hares and a barn owl from the house. A very relaxing stay and great value for money.
Went with our children of all ages for 10 days. The house is excellent. The size of the house with the grounds gave us the real holiday feeling. It had everything we needed, from all the basics up to a games room with a snooker table to provide hours of fun. Was spotlessly clean and Susan made us feel really welcome! Thank you
Jo and Nadine at Country Hideaways were very helpful and flexible in sorting out a week in this delightful cottage. Not our first visit to the Dales or this cottage, just love the area and the comfortable cottage. It certainly won’t be our last visit either!
A lovely facility with the river and waterfall just outside. A little disappointed that no condiments (ie salt and pepper, sugar) were provided, but plentiful towels and bedding. Not as quiet or private as I hoped, because there were at least five units in the same building, with people sitting outside just underneath the windows talking and smoking.
Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely views from the front. Would happily return.
Comfortable and well-equipped cottage, where everything worked well. Very clean. Peaceful location, with lovely view from one side of patio. We had a lovely few days. Thank you.
A lovely spacious, comfortable cottage. Very peaceful and quiet but still within easy access of local attractions. Spent an enjoyable week here, lots to do for the kids, enclosed garden for the kids and dog to play in was fab.
Our third stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, we absolutely love West Burton, as always very well equipped and a lovely comfortable, cosy cottage in a fabulous place. Highly recommend and we can't wait till our next stay Thank you ☺️
This property is in a beautiful peaceful location with a spectacular view. Settees very comfortable. Lounge / kitchen / dining area good. Great shower. I slept fairly well, mattress firm but quite comfortable. Internet is a bit unreliable but I guess that what comes of being out in the sticks! The property could definitely do with some drawers in the bedroom. The cushions on the settee were grubby and those on the bed were scruffy with pulled threads on them. The property is superficially clean, but cobwebs in corners and cupboards. Getting a saucepan out of the cupboard me...more
We have stayed quite a few times at Ivy Cottage. We love it and it holds many special memories . For the Welsh it is "cwtch", for the Swede's it is "hygge".
One of the nicest holiday cottages I have stayed in. The interior seemed brand new and the kitchen was very well equipped. Sitting outside in the sunshine, the only sounds are from the birds. The nearest village is only 10 mins drive away and has a superb butchers, which also stocks fruit& veg and cheeses. The local shop sells papers, bread and essentials. Ripon is a short distance away for supermarkets. The cottage is ideally situated to visit the wide range of attractions which that part of Yorkshire has to offer. For those who enjoy walking, Kirkby Malzeard moor is only a couple of ...more
