We found the cottage’s in very good condition and lots of room. Surrounding very good. We found the staff in the hotel brilliant fantastic breakfast in the morning. A good central place for us golfers. Over all 10 out of 10.
The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was really chilly when we arrived but the heating was easy to change and we were soon very cosy. The beds were lovely with gorgeous bedding so we slept really well. The sitting room provided comfortable seating and a terrific TV, when we got home and wanted to relax. Plenty of equipment if you wanted to cook, although we did not, other than breakfast. Although there is no view from the apartment itself, it is literally yards round the main house to the sea front. Walking in either direction along flat paths (or on the beach...more
I arranged this for my family from Wales, they were so impressed having stayed there 5 years ago but were very happy once again as it has now been updated and was amazing.
My family and I looked forward to returning to Church house this summer and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a fabulous location in beautiful Ventnor. It’s truly a slice of paradise from the stunning house with beautiful homely touches, to the gorgeous idillic private garden and the fabulous walk down to the sea passing through the woodland flowers and stream. We love the Isle of Wight as there is so much to do for any age no matter what the weather. My children look forward to staying here and having their own bedrooms is a bonus. We find church house a relaxing base for us to all unwind and enj...more

We really enjoyed our stay in Bembridge at Harbour View. Plenty of rooms and space, extremely well stocked kitchen with plenty of everything. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Two ample bathrooms. Ray nearby was so helpful and knows the area well. Great value for money and in such a perfect position.
This house was ideal for our family of 14. Every bedroom had an en suite which was ideal with young children. The house has been beautifully decorated and maintained and the gardens were lovely and child friendly. The large professional kitchen was easy to use and had everything we could have needed. The dining room comfortably seated us all. We could not fault anything at all and were all sad to get to the end of our stay here.
Everything you could wish for in the accommodation, Jasmine very welcoming on arrival, lovely outlook over the farm animals ready to greet you, great stay
This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. I cannot see this being repaired any time soon, if at all.. Apart from this, the accomodation is very spacious for our part of 4 adults. We only used the kitchen facili...more
On arrival the appearance was just as lovely as the photos. Very secure entrance, the stairways were clean and fresh. The books and games were a nice touch. When we got into the apartment it was a wow moment for sure. Obviously recently renovated, amazing views from the rooms. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds and sofas were comfy. But the balconies were just awesome. Waking up to the most sensational sunrises, then sitting on the balcony with a cuppa, watching dolphins in the bay are memories for life. Having bars very close by was lovely, the food and drink were great...more
Ideal position in St Helens village right by corner shop. Very comfy cottage with everything needed.
Our favourite place to stay on the island. Love the position overlooking the Duver, perfect for watching the Sunrise! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else, Dave is a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble and the cottage is always spotless. We return year after year, long may it continue!
This cottage surpassed all our expectations. It was beautifully laid out, furniture and amenities within the cottage were plentiful and cosy. The kitchen area is so well equipped, there is nothing you are short of to use. Everywhere is clean and tidy. We were blessed with beautiful weather so spent a few hours out on the terrace on a late afternoon after a good walk with a beautiful calm sea view. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and shiny, lovely decor again. Ventnor was pretty quiet during our visit but we enjoyed that after being out all day. It was a good base and we enjoye...more
We were on the island for the festival and so weren’t there for sightseeing or the beach. But a great location on a lovely beach. It is a good sized apartment and very comfortable for us.
The host was very welcoming and always contactable. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Very clean and airy spaces. Lovely back drop to the rear of the property and outside space to relax in. To the front, a designated car park space makes coming and going easy.
Stayed at this lovely house with fantastic views in October 2025. It was a very comfortable and peaceful stay with everything you could need. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anybody.
This is our second year staying at The Beach House and we have already booked for 2026!! It is lovely to have a fully stocked kitchen, the use of a washer dryer and three bathrooms. The coffee machine is a special treat. We enjoy the space the property provides - it allows my husband to do his railroad modelling and to invite our grown up children to stay. The location is great, close to the beach and to the many good restaurants in Ventnor. We love the balcony and the views of the sea. Thank you Rob and Christy for sharing your beautiful home with us.
It was a lovely apartment, bright & clean, good facilities, nice balcony to sit on, and close to village centre so walkable to shops, cafes & pubs.
The property owners were kind, thoughtful and very helpful with any queries and left a generous and thoughtful welcome gift in our holiday home. As soon as we entered we found the home was spacious, light and with plenty of space for our family. Each room was clean, tidy and perfectly made up. All appliances worked well and WiFi was available too. Porches at each end of the property were just perfect for returning from days out and being able to set down buckets of fossils, shells, seaglass or just shopping bags. The garden was large and beautiful with plenty of space for my childr...more
We've just come home after a lovely stay. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. We had all the equipment we needed, and instructions, when required were clear in the information folder. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linen. The staff were very helpful with a couple of queries I had and replied to messages promptly. Access to the bus route is ideal, with a stop at the end of the road. We used it several times to get around the island. I would definitely recommend this property for its location close to Shanklin Old Village and the Chine and easy access to the rest of the islan...more
Our 6th visit to Highlands and once again a great stay. Lovely apartment with everything you need and great views of the bay.
Recently completed a stay at the Kenmore Cottage. Overall, I would recommend this property and also stay again. Here are my observations: Pros: - Huge property with lots of large rooms. All 3 bedrooms are a great size as is the main bathroom - Has everything you would need for a stay from appliances through to essential kitchen and living items (chopping boards, mini scales, iron, etc) - Room for 2 cars to park at the rear of the property - An abundance of games (board and Nintendo Wii) and DVDs to choose from - Its very clean and the paintwork looks fresh - Located 10 mins walk from th...more
A great property with wonderful views You need to like and are able to walk up hill as apartment at top of steep hill Comfortable and spacious Think it could do with some new frying pans Only crtiisim is the television Too many buttons and very slow We don’t watch a lot but if you do a bit of nuisance
We have had an amazing stay here. There was everything you could need and more. The area is quite quiet and the neighbours we met are very friendly. The house is very comfortable and there were instructions left for everything which is a brilliant help. It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend.
Very comfortable for a short stay, however the heating and hot water did not work on the first day and when contacting the out of office contact number we only got through to a voicemail which then went to an answerphone where we couldn't leave a message. Problem was sorted the next day, then the heating stopped working again on the fourth day.
Solent View has been a great place to stay for a week these past three years. Sadly now off the list but can recommend Island Holiday Homes who took care of our ferry booking as well.
We stayed for 65 nights as we needed a short term let. The flat had everything you needed and was modern , clean and in a lovely location.
Everything was wonderful, have booked again for next year already. Views spectatular, garden beautiful, very comfortable.
This was our first trip to the Isle of Wight. The house is spacious and well equipped. I liked the general decor of dark blue walls with white/cream ceilings. There is a small garden at the back which is sheltered and catches the sunlight during most of the day. A nice touch was having a bottle of wine and a pack of coffee on arrival. The box of multiple games were appreciated by the children. A small point - note that the side gate does not lock properly. Parking on the street could be difficult, but there was a free car park at the top of the road next to the green. St Helens is quite a sm...more
The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Access was easy with lots of parking. Pleasant walk to the beach or into town.
Pete's place is in a lovely quiet street, in a great location in Carisbrooke just outside Newport, with off street parking which was much appreciated. The house was very clean, well equipped and decorated. We had plenty of space and everything for a comfortable stay. We would stay again and recommend to others. Pete was an excellent host.
This lovely holiday home is well situated, in a peaceful area of the island and worked as the perfect base for our stay. There was also plenty of space for children to run around. Jamestown 2 is well equipped, and it was lovely to come "home" at the end of our days out to relax. The only addition we would suggest is some fans for the rooms - the nights were quite warm and this would have made it more comfortable for sleep. The team were helpful when I called to check accessibility for our daughter who had surgery a couple of weeks before our trip and in arranging our ferry travel too. Th...more
Everything was great but particularly the views which were wonderful to wake up to. Everything needed was supplied and washing machine/dryer was a bonus to save washing when you got home. Loved it so much we are going back next year.
We have stayed in Woodside Cottage a few times now and enjoyed each visit. When we have had any questions we have been able to contact Island Holidays who have been extremely pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff have been brilliant. There is a lovely spacious garden with a particulary pleasant patio area ideal on a nice sunny day. We have already booked two holidays for next year. Our thanks to the owners who have allowed us to share their home.
perfect place to stay for the IOW festival - 30 mins drive into Newport but it was nice to go back to peace and quiet. Few cobwebs and mirrors were very smeary but apart from that, house was perfectly adequate.
Hope House is one of the best kitted out houses that we've rented, it really is a home from home. The kitchen is well kitted out with absolutely everything anyone could need to cook anything from a simple snack to a full blown meal. The house is clean and extremely comfortable with a nice sized lounge and small outside seating area. Beds are comfortable with additional fans, heaters, blankets to allow for every individual need. Location is great for East Cowes, a short minute or so walk down to the chain ferry for getting into the main town of Cowes. Property has an off road parking space wh...more
Good location great kitchen well equipped good space maybe could update large bedroom furniture apart water leak at front of cottage while we were there but did not need to use front door used back entrance would stay again
Insignia is a great place to stay, it gives you a great base from which to explore the island and is ideally situated for the shops, bars & restaurants in Cowes town. The property is well maintained and is very clean. The bathroom is a real treat with a lovely walk in shower and a big bath. The bedrooms are all fine and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The stairs are a bit tight, as was the parking spot but we quickly got used to them both and they didn’t cause us any issues. Cows is a great place and all the pubs and restaurants were very welcoming, I would particularly recommend ...more
Well equipped property, clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of parking. Quiet with Lovely surroundings. Easy access to the village and surrounding areas to visit.
A very nice location with amazing views. There is public transport nearby but having a car makes it much easier. Richard was a very welcoming host. Thank you.
Beautiful views from the front and the back of this property. Comfy and warm. Upstairs bedroom not really as good as the 2 on the ground floor. Kitchen facilities excellent, with nice dining room, again lovely views both ends. Well equipped. Off road parking for my car. Convenient for a bus stop, with very good services all round island.
Our 3rd stay here and it’s just as good as the first time we stayed. Pointe South is a comfortable home with plenty of extra touches that truly make it a home from home. Lovely views over the sea, only a short walk into town with everything the island has to offer either a short drive or bus ride away.
Really enjoy staying in Beachside . Lovely location . Lovely views from the back rooms. Perfect location to get to see things on the island. Comfortable accommodation.
Hope Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Great accommodation in an ideal location. Rooms were beautiful and ideally layed out to suit a large family. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The children had a large garden to play in which they really enjoyed. We will certainly be staying here again. Thank you so much for a great stay.
We had a lovely 2weeks I the chalet it was spotlessly clean. Great views and very peaceful spot We would definitely stay there again.
Coastal Cottage has a perfect location in Bembridge - about 5 minutes' walk down the lanes to a quiet stretch of the beach between the harbour and the lifeboat station, and less than that in the other direction to the village centre with the Co-op, restaurants, pub, Lagom coffee and the fabulous Hot Box Bakery. It's great value for that alone. The house is not perfect - the kitchen is well-equipped but dark and has an awkward dog-leg design, some of the windows and doors look a bit old, and we'd have liked bigger, squashier sofas. But the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. The bed...more
Second time we have stayed at the Willows, a great location for peace and quiet. Everything you could need for restful holiday and getting around to see the IOW. Michael & Muriel are friendly welcoming hosts. Property is as described and red squirrels did pay us a visit. A car is recommended.
We enjoyed a week in Villa Amanti. The Villa is nicely appointed, with everything you should need, and provides a comfortable and convenient stay in the Ventnor location on the Isle of Wight. Off street, secure, parking, whilst a bit snug, is available for one car. Smart TV with the usual expectations of digital options like NETFLIX, Amazon Prime etc. A well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, good bathrooms, and fair Wi-Fi in the main living area, everything that was needed. We booked through Island Holiday Homes who were extremely helpful and service focussed.
The location was excellent, we love Shanklin with the view of the sea. The apartment was very comfortable, with the kitchen having just the right amount of appliances etc. We have mentioned personally that for those guests staying for 2 weeks, arrangements for a change of bedding could be in place at the onset of stay. As for us , we had to request a change midway of our stay. We were very handy for a variety of restaurants, cafes etc & the beach front was very clean. We found that although busy during the day & evening, the location was quiet for late evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our holid...more
What a house, what a location! We had a lovely two week stay at Kipper cottage and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped and the gardens leading to the creek were very special indeed. Loved it.
Good location close to ventnor main amenaties, living room furniture needs updating mismatched sofa and chairs sun bleached sofa, white wooden furniture not in keeping with rest of properties qualities, tv too small needs to be bigger, second bedroom dark rug by front door backing coming off, could have done with a starter pack for when you first arrive, shrubs and bushes need to cut back on steps as these hamper you when climbing steps to access property, could do with some better lighting on steps because at night it is dark and the one proper security light doesn’t always come on, overall t...more
Loved staying here - the third time in 3 years - and we'll be back. Thanks so much for being helpful with everything and giving us somewhere lovely to stay!
A lovely clean property, ideally located near enough to ryde and st helens and allover. Extremely peaceful even with being on the bus route with a stop conveniently close by. The back garden is the perfect place to watch the squirrels regular visits, much to the amusement of the granddaughter. Will definitely return next year with the family.
Island Holiday Homes have handled our reservations on the island on no less than ten occasions since 2019. We have experienced nothing but professionalism and friendliness. The accommodation is first class and the location is to die for. Island Holiday Homes have always booked our ferry tickets, with a discount, and the service of Wightlink Ferries is usually of the highest standard.
The bungalow was spotless and had plenty of equipment. The photo does not show how extremely steep access is. Also the shower room and toilet were much to small they it would have been better to have been knocked into 1 room. Closing 1 door off and removing 1 sink. If you were on the larger size you would not be able to shut doors. The other rooms were fine. The flowers and shortbread biscuits were a lovely touch.
I’ve been here for the second time now. Beautiful appartement with everything you need. It is fully equipped. Situated at a lovely beach with the most wonderful view at the sea and cliffs. Hope to stay here next year again.
The Sanctuary provides everything you'll need for a relaxing, comfortable stay..& more! From the welcoming complimentary bottle of wine & traditional IOW shortbread, to the fantastic roof top garden views! The thoughtful simple caring touches really help, such as the WiFi passwords & emergency contacts & all info set out in the folder..no guesswork & looking up needed! the leaflets on places to visit, the well stocked & labelled kitchen - items such as food bags, cling film & tin foil, washing up & hand wash (provided in all bathrooms too + loo tolls), washing machine & dishwasher detergents, ...more
A lovely homely feel. Everything and everyone catered for. An enjoyable time was had by all. Thank you
A wonderful spacious cottage in a fantastic position. It's an easy walk along the old railway route or on the seafront to the middle of Yarmouth. The cottage is very well equipped, clean, bright and welcoming. It is very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Dogs are allowed which is very important to us and it has a well enclosed, large garden. This year was our fifth visit, so that speaks for itself doesn't it? It is at the top end of our budget, so hence the 4 on value for money, but we have just had a wonderful week, so don't begrudge it.
We were very impressed with the accommodation, the hot tub was a great luxury especially after a day of exploring. The location was very peaceful, the only negative was that it was a distance from any amenities and coast. The site also needs to sort out the road as the humps hit the base of our vehicle.
We really enjoyed our stay in Castle Cottage. The cottage is at a beautiful spot, However: it would be convenient if manuals of the equipment are present (either printed or digital) This is also truw for passwords for wifi and the mediabox .
Lovely family home that suited four generations. Enjoyed pool and garden very much. Good bedding especially pillows and summer quilts. Liked how rooms open into each other but able to sit together or separately as needed. Short stroll to beach or village. Good parking. Would come back again!
We stayed here two years ago, so already knew what an ideal base it was for our holiday. Tennyson Cottage is well equipped and convenient, and suits our family group (3 adults) very well. We find the location of Freshwater, and the location of the cottage within it, to be very handy for the things we like to do and the places we mainly visit.
We have visited Gove Cottage for about 10years now each summer. In the last year or two we have been a little disappointed with the Garden, which used to be lovely, but is now a little not loved. However the cottage remains comfortable, and is very convenient foe everyting within the town, and the parking space is a real bonus. We will continue to visit as often as we can.
I’ve stayed at many properties, and this one is good to look at as it is so old, but the comfort is not so good. The house is ideal as being so close to the manor. We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding, with my sister's husband upstairs and my family downstairs, The problems I had were the side gate open, and the shower not easy to use. The shower head small water goes on to window may be a curtain up, The beds are cricked, single not comfortable bedding cheap, need nice large towels, no welcome pack milk bread butter etc as there no shops near? There is tea coffee sugar The garden lovely b...more
Despite the rain, we had a great long weekend. Great walk along the sea wall to the esplanade, and easy walk into town. The house was clean and warm and very cosy. Parking easy and very quiet area.
Lovely apartment with quality period furnishings. Thoughtfully well equipped with a home from home appeal. Location perfect for coastal walks and just a short walk into town. Hope to return again soon.
Excellent condition, clearly recently refurbished to a high standard. Super clean. Very spacious with lots of spare space in living room for kids to play etc. Very comfortable beds. Great size garden with good outdoor furniture to use. Getting in was easy via lockbox. Improvements? Welcome pack not emailed or present in house. Keys in a random bowl in kitchen drawer so hard to find. Multiple keys unlabelled so difficult to work out what was for what. No hand towels provided so no towel in downstairs loo or kitchen (only advised to bring beach towels). Option to have more pillows would...more
The location in St Helens was convenient for travelling by car to many of the visitor attractions and to/from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne. However, Helms House is on a surprisingly busy road which made the parking space quite difficult to enter and leave, especially squeezing in 2 cars. There was a lot of traffic noise late at night and in the early morning (a noisy motorbike regularly roared past at about 5.45 am!) - this was accentuated because the windows needed to be open due to the hot weather. The fan that was provided in the house unfortunately did not work. The holiday house was r...more
The lodge is in a lovely setting but unfortunately there is no bus service that goes there. The taxi companies didn't really want to go there either. The place was clean but you could tell dogs had been there. Not being a dog owner it's not necessarily what you want! I you have dogs it's perfect! The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable. They provided all cleaning products that were eco due to the treatment works which I thought was very good and they had left some basics for us like bread butter milk & cookies which i thought was a really nice touch.
2 Farm Cottages is a lovely place to stay, especially if you have dogs with you. The garden is beautiful, secure, and very quiet. Inside the cottage there is everything you could possibly need, and it is very cosy. Elderly people may struggle a bit with the stairs though as they are quite steep.
Our multi-generational family group enjoyed having plenty of space inside and outside the property. The large kitchen table was brilliant for family meals. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to accommodate, entertain and cater for everyone.
Particularly appreciated: view to sea, location near Botanic Garden, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, lots of power points, dark skies to view stars (when clouds cleared) Would also suggest: non-slip mat in bath/shower, high-back easy chair - and pls fix wonky dining chair! Overall: had a good stay, thank you, would recommend
Our first thought on arriving at the property was "I wish we bought our secateurs, the front garden was very overgrown". On entering the property, it was very well laid out and well equipped. The downside was the cleanliness. The kitchen sink was filthy - try using spray white vinegar - on that type of sink you cannot use cream cleaner or bleach. We had one of those and cleaned it daily. The shower could do with a good clean - it was black at the base of the shower inside and out. Quite a few cobwebs. The cushions are feather - our dog got one in his mouth and coughed and spluttered for...more
This property is in a good location close to the ferry terminal which is around 2 miles away. It is quite small but ideal for a couple, it does sleep 4 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are only using it to sleep, there are no wardrobes and very little hanging space. Hot water is very limited so if you like a bath you'll get 2 inches of hot water and that's it, the shower upstairs is electric so no issues there. The location is quiet however there is quite a bit of noise from the kids at little Canada on occasions but if you're out all day then no problem, the noise tends to quieten down ...more
Love the location. Ideal location and property for a beach holiday with pets. Booked again for next year.!
The cottage was clean throughout and the kitchen well equipped. The description given by the letting agents - not the owner said there was on street parking. This was incorrect and queried with the letting agents who failed to respond. The downside for us was lack of parking and no hanging space in the double bedroom. There is also a steep step down from the bedroom into the bathroom. A grab rail would have been helpful. The location was quiet and very convenient for the amenities in the town.
We came over as a group of friends to visit the Isle of Wight, although I would say the property is definitely aimed at family holidays. The instructions to get into the property were clear and simple and communication on the build up to our holiday was great. The property is really special, it was clean and we had plenty of fresh linen. The games room is a great addition and we really enjoyed having a few games of pool, and made use of the board games left for us! The kitchen was also really well stocked with equipment for preparing dinners at home, which definitely saved us a great deal of ...more
Kildare, a 17th-century workhouse located in the lovely village of Niton, was the perfect base for our family holiday. Having grown up on the Island, it was a real joy to return and stay somewhere that made the most of the area’s natural beauty—especially with coastal walks and the sea a short walk from the doorstep. The house itself is a wonderful blend of old and new. It has a well-equipped kitchen, a cute garden, and a large dining room that worked perfectly for our group. Michael, the host, was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and informative. He took the time to explain how to manage the h...more
We very much enjoyed our stay after initial difficulties with the key code, which was different to the one we had been given. Accommodation was good and the beds comfy, though It was not a large chalet. It was very clean and the welcome pack was generous. It was reasonably equipped, but more thought on the small items was required, eg some small glasses and more plates in the kitchen and more hooks and towel rails in the bathroom. Outside, the view was stunning, helped by a week of unbroken sunshine. The only suggestion here to enhance the stay would be to get the grass cut and the paths weede...more
The apartment is well presented & maintained. Lovely large double bedroom. Large lounge diner very good size. Kitchen is clean & all utensils for cooking are adequate. The only issue I had is sometimes I could hear people at night in the street. Busy road with customers visiting takeaway & local shop. The lift to the beach is 10 min walk away.
This house has such potential to be a great holiday home - the location is wonderful, the rooms are large and layout of the house is fab. However, upon arrival the house had clearly only had a very light clean. There was white dog hair everywhere and we had to clean the bath before using it. The shower tray didn’t drain when using it and there was a strong drainage smell in both bathrooms. The slats on the main bed were broken when we arrived but the agent sent someone to fix it straight away the next day. The velux windows didn’t open in most rooms which made the house stuffy - those windows ...more
Newly refurbished property ,great location enjoyed the food in the Birdham ate there often the service was good and staff very friendly.. Only two of us , the twin beds would be ok for children maybe the option of another double would suit 4 adults also bathroom downstairs good but upstairs showerroom ,shower very challenging and we are under 5 and half feet tall . There was also a problem with the WiFi and we had no television at one point they did have an Ariel point so maybe this could be re instated for breakdowns . That said the owners said they were going to look into this . We enjoy...more
This apartment is certainly in a stunning location with wonderful views and gardens and good parking. Apart from the kitchen which is relatively well equipped and clan, the rest of the place is in dire need of a deep clean; it’s soft furnishings are worn out (the pillows and towels are particularly clapped out) and there is a dangerous level of black mould in the tiny bathroom. The second bedroom is not big enough for two kids let alone adults and the flat’s large windows and high balcony mean it is not suitable for children. The bathroom needs major reconfiguration and refurbishment – there...more
We loved rural quiet location and the spacious bungalow. Enjoyed having own sink in room. Only down side was uncomfortable sofas in lounge.
We had a great week, and will definitely book again. Location was excellent. Just a short stroll (be it hilly one but that's Ventnor) to the town centre. Lovely walks in the park and coastal path.
A comfortable holiday home but very surprisingly there were no throws to protect sofas and absolutely no booklets or instructions to help us settle in to the property As always we took our own throws to use while we were there

We were sadly disappointed with the cleanliness of the property - I did alert the people who we rented the property from, we felt it necessary to wash All crockery, cutlery, clean the floor as it felt gritty, hoovered upstairs..... does this feel right to you.? We found a duvet cover that has traces of blood on it, and there was a smell of damp in the property, I was told by the neighbor that the cleaners as supposed to do a 5hr deep clean between each occupier? i have a photo of underneath our bed (double room) which shows a lot of dust. Lovely big house for multi generational. Most of house is in good condition but the lower ground floor needs some maintenance. Had a humidifier in the bedroom because of the damp and it had to be emptied every day. My clothes felt cold and damp. The kitchen was supposed to have been renovated this year but has not happened and the shower room needs an upgrade as not very pleasant. The garden was lovely but again lacked maintenance as the bushes needed cutting back and grass wanted cutting. Upstairs bedrooms and shower room were very nice and beds very comfortable. The apartment itself was good, the site dismal!! The view shown is from the bedrooms. The frontage/entrance is of an abandoned, overgrown and litter strewn building site! The restaurant still being advertised is long since closed. Very disappointed and feel the advertising is dishonest.
We had a great stay at this property - the view is outstanding as well as the location - there is a steep walk back up it but it’s fine if you able fairly fit. The home felt comfortable, shower good and bed comfy - lots of facilities if you wanted to cook - I would highly recommend :)
I’m afraid although the pine bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and there was plenty of furniture in all the rooms, I have to agree with all points that Maureen made that attended in June 2025. The path leading up to the front door is a very bad trip hazard by the huge bush. The one slab stands at least 3 inches above the others. There is no outside light either so you have to be very careful in the dark. The musty smell blew us back when we first opened the door, but after leaving all the windows open for a few days, it smelt a bit better. Good job it was windy! There are cobwebs...more
We had a lovely holiday exploring the island and the Napier Apartment is in a perfect location. Unfortunately we were disappointed with several aspects, particularly the cleanliness. The apartment is in need of a Deep Clean. The skirting boards, and around the toilet were very dirty. The kitchen rubbish bin was filthy when we removed the bin liner. The net curtain in the dining area needed a good wash. We couldn't see through it and it was difficult to draw back as a it was hooked up into the rusty wire at the top. The microwave was dirty inside. The wooden table was stained. The insides of ...more
